From the above conversation, I thought your having aging turned off was an attempt to keep the child from being born before the Patch drops. Nothing more intended.
Kayleigh was released from the hospital under the care of a nurse, who just happened to be her sister-in-law. She was still attached to the IV to rid her body of the poison of Sepsis, and ordered to bed rest tethered to said IV for the rest of the second week, which was the following Thursday. Once freed, she spent more time with her three Toddlers. She finished her second book An Act of Faith, a non-fiction account of what happened to her, and the loss of her baby. Publishing it, it was instantaneously nominated. Erik took her with him to the Starlight Accolades. She received a standing ovation as the two entered the room, she on his arm, for support. Erik won his nineteenth straight Best Song, for In Our Beginning. Just after he stepped from the platform, the Host announced the winner of the Best Book award. Kayleigh Cantrell.
Will be restarting my legacy family due to ahem pc problems. However as I am waiting on the infant update I decided to do the Martinez Scenario in the meantime instead.
And I am really enjoying this family. Finally reached the teens and as they are doing so well I may just continue with this family save even when I finish. They reside in Newcrest so I have it setup the way I want to play it.
Note: I did finally purchase HSY but not following the teens to the school. I heard that may mess up the scenario so for now they just leave as normal. Well normal for a Sim that is. It is nice to have the items in my save though so its all good.

I started a new save the other day to play until the infant update. Brandon and Jade eloped and inherited $13,000. Brandon is almost done with university. He has 3 more classes/credits until he graduates then he’ll become a computer programmer. Jade is on level 6 of the business career although she may quit, enroll in university and become a lawyer. I miss my LaRue-Benali save but I’m not ready for Aubrie to give birth yet.
I started building a house with no vision of how the finished project is supposed to look like. The kitchen is almost done, but otherwise I am just as clueless as before.

I had something rather bizarre happen in my game yesterday. I haven't yet written it up, but got it started this morning. I have the New Healthcare mod by Appendingo. So far, so good. Got a popup that it was time for Erik Cantrell's household to get their check-ups. Realized the entire family couldn't be selected all at once. Managed to not have the uncle take one of the Toddlers with him, so that the parents could accompany the other two Tots. Face/palm. Hey, it was my first time with this event. They go into a rabbit hole, which is just fine with me. Erik took one of the girls, leaving Kayleigh with the other two, which I realized wouldn't work. Suddenly, Melodie no longer had an icon on the bar, yet I spied her just behind her mother, who was walking out of the front door. Then I grew worried, but I saw Harmony on the staircase. I was beginning to panic a bit, but decided I wouldn't save the game until everybody got back. Thing is, checking the family trees, Melodie is alive, at least, but where the heck is she? I tried to take the family into CAS hoping she would show up, but for that lack of her icon. She wasn't there. Upon their return from the doctor's visit, Melodie is still 'missing'. After some thought, I decided to exit without saving and to do a game save recovery to just a few minutes prior by the time on the save to have the entire family. Took some time, but the check up notice finally popped up again. This time I made certain Uncle Aaron escorted one of the three Toddlers. They all came back just fine. Nobody went missing. But, that was just too weird.
In my throw away save, Brandon Benjamin finished his computer science degree and graduated from Foxbury University with honors. Jade made his favorite dinner (pot roast) and a celebration cake. He will start his computer engineer career on Monday as they are on a much needed vacation in Mt. Komorebi. Jade has decided not to go back to school as she is doing very well in her business career, she was recently promoted to futures trader and is very happy with her current salary. So, lately I haven’t done any story play. I’ve been working on building out some new communities. Since December, I’ve added 2 new packs and I have to work out their place in my game. I’ve decided that Britechester is in The Myst as a college town for the residents there. Del Sol Valley will stay in the human world. I’ve also finally decided what to do with Selvadorada. I’m making it into a hidden enclave of the descendants of the first generation of Spellcasters. I think there’s a good story in that.
Played one of my older save files, and one besides the main one. The save file I played tends to be where I throw smaller series I like, or just Sims that I don't have a plan for.
A while back I had two sisters, where one was normal, and one was mermaid. I made another female mermaid, who married the mermaid sister. The normal sister moved out, and both families adopted daughters. The mermaid couple adopting two girls, and the normal sister adopting a daughter. They also each adopted dogs, which were siblings from the same litters as well.
Today, I aged all the adopted daughters to teens. The mermaid's oldest daughter became an animal lover, and a self-assured teen. The couple's second daughter carried over her slob trait, but also wanted to have a big happy family, and also became a self-assured teen. The two of them got a slight makeover. Their "cousin" grew up as well, she carried over an evil trait, but she wants a big family, and loves dogs as a teen. She had a minor makeover as well. The plan for them is to make the oldest adopted daughter into a mermaid, and the other two teens into other members of the supernatural. The one that likes animals I will try to turn into a werewolf, while their cousin may be turned into a vampire.
Another family I played was Judith Ward, and Marshal. I mentioned them awhile back, and they had a daughter I named Diamond together. Judith is an adult Sim, while Marshal is a young adult Sim. Today, I aged Diamond up into a child. When she aged up she got the notification that a star was on the rise. For being Judith's child, she already has a foot in the door if she ever wants to become an actress. Judith herself was getting ready for a gig to make up for the not so good gig she had before. Marshal himself had his own work to get done.
Not much to report, and still not playing Sims 4 as much, but I wanted to age some Sims up.
My ancestor, John Sevier, ran around doing Errands for the Storekeeper in HoB. He also took a task from Agnes Crumplebottom. He's busy growing large lettuce, but it's going to take a day or two before it's ready. In the meantime, he finished the first Errand he took. Managed to get that dozen white eggs to fulfill the third thing he had left on the list. He looked rather cute in his buckskin cc clothes I found, since my ancestral game save takes place in the 18th century, British America. And, that's it.
Barbie had her first day at high school. She seemed to enjoy it, although she was on her phone a lot and kept on wanting to go and play computer games downstairs
Today, once I learned the Infant Patch wasn't coming, I determined to play my game for a bit. I put my Mods folder back in and powered up my game. There was no save to return to. No worries, I decided I'll just place the backed up version into the game. The file was empty. EMPTY. Apparently, you can't stop a copy process and try to save just the one folder. I have no backup. Weeks of play is gone. I'm not even sure just when this particular save got started. I do know it started out as my Flashback save, that quickly became my New Main Save. Well, now I've got another Main Save. But, I've got cooler stuff to go with it. So, I got busy and grabbed a copy of the Cantrell family (parents and all) aged Aaron down to Teen, and then placed the lots I need. Shortly before I got the family into their home, I realized Erik was already a Global Superstar. I checked with Road to Fame, trying to see how many albums he had, and the option to see just wasn't there. Then I found out he didn't have the Professional Singer skill, either. So, I quickly fixed that. I have to have the kids quit school, since I started them in summer. That will give Erik the time he needs to write songs and he's going to need a lot of them, so he can concentrate on his schoolwork, especially when I send the Teens to uni together again. So, that's what happened in my game today.
I spent the day setting up Morgyn’s new adventure in Selvadorada. Got the townies set up and kicked a random out of the rental so Morgyn could get in. I’ve never had random townies in the rentals in my other worlds, but Selvadorada seems popular. We got things started tonight, though. I’ll play a bit more tomorrow and then post screenshots.
Morgyn was having a bad Harvest Fest. The Myst is continuing to grow, and that isn't a bad thing. But growing pains can bring conflicts and he just wasn't feeling festive. In fact, when the harvest gnomes showed up on his front lawn, he just reminded them of what happened last year, and they beat a hasty retreat*.
Morgyn decided it was time for a change of scenery, so he grabbed Smudge and headed for the Arcane Ruins in the Forgotten Grotto. It was a private spot, built by his ancestors and known only to him. A place where he could get away from absolutely everything.
Only, this time something unexpected happened. One of the arches, one that was usually just a doorway, began to glow with a familiar glow. A portal glow. A portal to where? The Magic Realm?
Only one way to find out.
Morgyn stepped through, but on the other side was not the familiar sight of the Magic Realm. He was somewhere in a jungle, and the mosquitos wasted no time making supper out of him.
Adjacent to the portal was a nice sized cottage. It was well kept, but seemingly unoccupied. The door opened easily to Morgyn's touch and he found himself inside. It was comfortable, if somewhat rustic. But, most importantly, it was set up nicely for a Spellcaster... or the last Arcane.
The conservatory even had a well equipped spell room.
The antique portal had provided a bit of a rough trip, so Morgyn took a shower and a nap while Smudge kept watch on the fridge.
Afterward, Morgyn relaxed in the study and pondered who or what had led him to this place... wherever it was. He was looking forward to finding out.
* Harvest Fest History
Last Harvest Fest, the bunny gnome rejected Morgyn's gift and zapped him. He returned the favor by casting inferniate, and incinerated said gnome. The other gnomes dropped all their seeds and disappeared. It was great!
Yesterday, I played for about four or five hours, just trying to get my Sims back where they need to be, since my little mishap with my saves file. It's so very hard to be me. LOL Why I have to shake things up so much for myself, I'll never know. But, on with what happened. I finally added the Golden family to my save deciding there was no good reason to make them arrive later in the summer, as originally planned. I'm in a hurry, after all. I will keep what's happened to date for those who wish to know and at some point marry up with the last post. So, I won't be writing this up in the other thread, just give updates on my progress here, instead. So far, Erik has been grinding away. He's already a Global Superstar, the only thing he won't have in this save is his Tile. I must have yanked the family to place in my library, thinking I had to start a new save. Couldn't find a way to remove his celebrity status, but then I realized, this gives me a bit of a short cut. (only have what is it now, 38 days? to Infants?) Erik has been able to write seven songs and recorded and released three albums. I shall grind away at it again today, He has to have all twenty songs written prior to uni, since we all know there's simply no time there for such falderal. And he'll record and release a couple more albums, too. I didn't keep track of how many he had released prior to uni, but I did have three albums ready for release in his inventory one per term. So far, so good. And that's it for now. He has yet to meet Kayleigh, but her younger sister, Mercedes was found walking along the sidewalk in front of Erik's house. LOL Kayleigh, do you feel like taking a stroll up hill from your house? Maybe?
