In Origin: have a tab to buy as gift

For months I've been trying to buy games for family members who play the sims, but each time I try to take advantage of the sales, or even regular priced items, they are grayed out when I try to buy them because I already own them. Yeah, I own them and now I want my grandkids to own them too. I've tried to contact EA through their help system, but I may as well go out in the street and hollar to the moon to get the same results.

So, think about all the sales you are missing out on because there is no way that I can see on the Origin store to buy a gift for someone else. I've said this before, I'll say it again: I'm glad I'm not a stock owner of EA stocks, you guys think like engineers not business people. I still love you guys, just make it easier for me to spend my money for my kids.

In my Origin account there's an option righ under 'you already own this pack' saying 'buy as a gift'

I purchase the majority of my giveaway packs as gifts on Origin with no problem. I'm in the US and the recipient also has to be in the US. I do have to send them a friend request first. Are you and the recipient in the same country?

Boy you guys! There is no such thing on my origin, I wonder why?

I just went in again, after reading your posts, and believe me when I say, it's not there. I'm trying to get my kid the vampires and the buy button is grayed out and there is nothing under it. Tell me if I have to change my settings? Do you know if there is something that will block it out?
