Sims never like the food and children always wake up scared

So as the title says my sims never like the food they cook even if the quality is excellent. They always whine while eating it. An another issue is I play with my and my boyfriends simself as a family and even tho they always tuck their daughter in and make sure there is no monster under the bed she always wake up in sweat. Only way for her to wake up normal if i pick me or my boyfriends sim and click on wake up interaction on her, that's so sad. What causes that and does that happen to you too?

With the food issue, have your sim cook a fruit cake using the Gourmet skill, not the baking skill. Have them eat a slice of it. They may not like it but from them on they will not do the animation that they don't like food.
