problem with preview mode

Hello... I am new to this forum writing so I hope I am doing this right. I'm having issues with create a pattern's preview mode. Every time I access it, it doesn't come up. Just gives me a blank screen. I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling it but it still doesn't work. I would love to be able to create patterns for my own use as well as share them. Could someone please help me fix this issue? Thank you so much.
