It's really weird because my sims couple in San Mychuno always do the cheek greeting. They've never lived in Windenburg in their sim life. But they have a group gathering. Also I noticed 2 sims are kissing on cheek in Selvadorada Greeting too.
I wish you could turn it off. A lot of the time I'll mistake it for flirting and try to pull my sim out of the situation...then i'll realize it's just that stupid greeting interaction. It makes zero sense to have it in Windenburg, which I thought was supposed to be German inspired.
I don't think it's exclusively a German-inspired greeting. It's more widespread than that. I love this greeting.
I thought it's an in-game common knowledge if in playing sims who has high level friendship with unplayed sims, such cheek peck greeting definitely happens. Cheek peck greeting also happens between young adults and kids too if both have high friendship level with each other.
I only see it in Windenburg! All my family greet like this, it's very European maybe why sims in other 'worlds' don't do it

I always greet my European friends(boys and girls) and my family with a cheek kiss, and when I told my American friends they went "you serious? for real!Y'all just kiss each other like that, do boys kiss your palm to greet you too?" And they first made fun of it but now they all do it, it's our group greeting
