@Mightydan You're right (like you usually are ), an espresso bar would have made it even more authentic @rosemow Thanks for your nice comments (as always ) @masajo Thanks and thanks again for the nomination
@MDianaSanders Your are such a great builder. I am especially in awe of the Venice one. The details and thought that you put on it is amazing.I downloaded it from the Gallery. Thanks for sharing it. My sims would really enjoy spending their time there.
I know I haven't been particularly active lately, but I'm sort of waiting for Get Together, Windenburg comes with so many awesome build items. Yet I realise that I often build basegame only, so I shouldn't let that keep me from building. Wow, I just stumbled upon this thread because of the your sig, and these are some of the best builds I have seen. I really like the practical builds that are something I would see in real life. But these are incredible, I followed you and I will be downloading several lots later when I get home. Thank you so much! In fact, you have even inspired me to start a thread of some of my builds once I get a few more I want to show. I really need the practice on using clutter and details more and I love getting peoples advice. Again, these are just amazing.
I love video games because of the things that I could never do in real life... For instance, in the sims you can get a job and a house.

@AceofSpades2231 Thank you so much for the really nice comment If you ever need advice, feel free to ask me
I will be sharing three things tomorrow, my Bohemian Movie Hangout (already on the Gallery, already shared in other threads) and my two final entries for the building competition on the Dutch forums (the reason I didn't get round to showcasing my Boho Hangout) - I still have to upload those, but I do have one picture of each (and presentation links with more pictures and Dutch commentary) :
Hello! Your builds are beautiful, and it is really nice to see them showcased in your post here! The way you set up Newcrest looks so good, and it is ideal to give a cohesive look to that empty neighborhood. My Newcrest is nothing like that, lol! The build you previewed for the competition above is a-maz-ing. I really am looking forward to seeing more of it! Your lots are so creative and diverse in style. I really love your work
Your two builds for the competition look so very nice! The exterior design of the home is so very nice! Very nice roofing and layout of the build! The flowers on the front ground patio and upper level balcony look so very pretty! It is great that there is the observatory item in the build. The Wild West town looks great! I will look forward to seeing your showcase pictures of the builds
So, first up, my Bohemian Movie Hangout- Living room, 8x8, 13.164; MH
I can't say that this is my best ever room, because I quickly put it together just after getting the pack, but it is quite nice and the colours are quite easily customized (I wouldn't actually let my own Sims have a room like this in their house, it's a bit too colourful ). That said, Movie Hangout Stuff is definitely my favourite stuff pack, I just love the boho theme - planning on doing an outdoor movie hangout and a boho cafe with it (maybe even this weekend, otherwise next weekend ).
Second, the futuristic house I built for the competition: Future Flow - Residential; 30x20; 2 bed; 2 bath; 147.915 (slightly more expensive when bought in game due to fizzy fruity drinks on the tray ); GTW, GT, OR, SD, LP, PP, CK; no CC; no MOO; play tested.
Exterior (images of interior in next post) - these are all from the presentation I shared before, but I can imagine not everyone has checked that out

This one is a bit larger (and a little bit more expensive) than the others, because it's the 40x30 lot in the neighbourhood.
That also means a bigger garden, I could probably have fitted a pirate ship in there .
There's a separate dining room and separate study.
Four bedrooms, two for kids, one for a teen and one for the parents.
Large attic with tons of hobby space, currently has a gym, arts & crafts room and a corner with toys for the kids.
