Question on the Savvy Seller Set?

If you create a lot with the Savvy Seller stuff and it is "unowned" by a character being played (I am not sure how this works, I mostly build and don't actually play) is it still usable/visitable? Thanks!

The toy shop works fine without being owned by anybody. I build a smaller one and it also works. People show up and buy stuff, which magically and without costs restocks anyway, even if somebody owns the lot. I think the lot type used for the toyshop is Hangout. Nobody is manning the cash register, but your funds get deducted without using it.

I have several builds that use savvy seller. I tend to place them in my worlds and let my sims visit.

I usually hire staff for the various stores and bistro ovens.

I find it easier to send the Sims out to buy furniture and decor items for their homes than going into buy mode and looking for them there.
