What are your favorite and least favorite things about TS4?

I'm kind of curious on what you guys think about the game, whether you like it or not. My favorite thing(s) about TS4 is the multitasking and how children have been improved, but my least favorite thing is the small world.

So what are yours?

keep on keepin' on

    Favorites:
+ The look/feel of the Sims and the game.
+ The emotions system is a lot of fun to play with still!
+ The game runs really smoothly.
+ The different tiers and requirements for Aspirations and Careers (even if I don't like the Friends requirements for careers, I really love the system as a whole.)

    Least Favorites:
    - The lack of career options. This is going to kill the game for me and has been my biggest obstacle. I do not enjoy any of the career options really, every one of them has been a disappointment to what I thought it would be. I love the SYSTEM just hate the options - I wish that Musician was a rockstar instead of classical pianist, I wish that Startup Entrepreneur was more business-like than tech geek where for some reason my Sim got his ears pierced and dresses even more casual than he normally does to go to work. I like some weirdness to my Sims but I am feeling extremely forced to play a weird life by having my Sims be Secret Agents, Astronauts, Tech Gurus or Criminals unless they are creative types like Culinary, Writers, Painters, or Entertainers. I'm starting to get burned out of the game already for this reason, even if I really really enjoy the game otherwise.

+ a lot of songs to play, pictures to paint etc...

    - all those build mode restrictions...
    - more build mode restrictions
    - build moooooode
    - can't even have a building with foundation and a building without foundation... Tried WANTED to make a farmhouse with foundation and a barn without... why, oh why?
    - have I mentioned the building restrictions? auto-my-🐸🐸🐸🐸... all that smartphone touch and wipe *beep*. Game feels as if I'm not able to wipe my bottom on my own. I can, let me be creative please?

    Pros-
    - No toddlers. I found them to be a pain in the butt.
    - Not needing to go to work til the minute of. That hour makes a difference.
    - The sims' looks. I have still played TS3 too and it just looks so much different.

    Cons-
    - I do wish we had a few more of the normal job options like Public service-- branch into cop or fireman for example.
    - no story progression. :( I loved it.
    - No create a style JUST to have unlimited colors. I did NOT like the10000000 patterns loading. Too slow and buggy.

    Loves:
    Emotions
    Style
You can do four things at one time!
    Sims seem a lot smarter
    Very cute facial reactions
The social part of the game dominates, that is what 'Sims' is all about
Very fast loading saves, screens and transitions

    Dislikes:
    Small neighborhoods (or worlds?)
    No hot tubs :/
No Woo-hoo interaction in the shower (WHY?!)

    Like:
    • The way Sims interact and express themselves, huge improvement over past iterations of the game.
    • The amount of care and detail they put into what is included in the game. Children playing with toys and playground objects have so many different animations, cooking is actually really FUN to watch, etc. Skill advancement has all kinds of bonus stuff gained with ranks, not just "the sim got better at it".
    • Multi-tasking (just totally love it).
    • Custom Music can be added to the different radio stations again (Yay!)
    • Neighborhoods are active and there's always things going on wherever your Sims go.
    • Careers are all interesting with nice little bonuses and "chance cards" (or whatever they are called now).
    • The Sims LOOK better than any Sims game to date. And the clothing is well made...vs. "I need CC now" like in past games.
    • Performance is solid and the game doesn't hiccup, stutter and burp.
    • Build mode and CAS are done really, really well.
    • The Gallery is actually awesome, especially when you compare it with what we had for sharing in previous iterations of the game.

    Dislike:
    • Loading screens
    • Rate of progression (really feels like you need to turn aging to long to be able to get aspirations completed.

I could put a few other things in the "dislike" category in terms of things I'd like to SEE in the game (toddlers) for example. But it would be a little inaccurate. You can't really "dislike" something that doesn't exist. That would be more accurately called "Something I would LIKE to see added". Toddlers tops that list. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
