cant find sim

i saved game yesterday i have mom dad and daughter. shows a house on daughter saying home and my choices are skill garden socialize and care for self. i tried resetsim but says sim can't be found. this was a good save so i dont know why i cant find this sim. i do not have any mod or cc in game. i am updated.

moving family seems to have found my sim again.
