Change fade distance?

Is it possible to change the fade distance such that ceiling lights will show up in closer proximity? Right now, it seems like you have to have the camera a mile away in order to see them. There some pretty neat looking ceiling lights, and I'd like to be able to take picture of my interiors that include the lights, but it's impossible as-is.

Ugh, just discovered that columns behave this way too. Is it anything that connects to the ceiling?

I think it's anything large in general. Trees always disappear from my shots which is a real pain!!

I hate to take pictures in build mode, but there doesn't appear to be a fade while using it, so that'll work for now. I hope EA will give us a setting or a modder will tackle this soon.

In TS3, the tab camera used to eliminate the fade but that doesn't seem to be working in TS4.
