Is it ok to d/l lots from other sources?

There are a few houses that I've seen online that I'd love to have in my game. However, they are not part of the EA Gallery. Is it ok to d/l these other houses and put them in my game? Will they show up? Will they ruin my game if they are not from the Origin/EA Gallery?
