I've recently encountered this issue. My daughter recently wanted The Sims 3 back on her laptop, so, I went ahead and installed base, all EPs, & all Sps. I patched to 1.67. Then, from her last saved game, which was January 22, 2014, I put back in all Store stuff I bought us. It said the same thing, FAILED Please make sure your game has the latest software and updates and try again. It did work going through my purchase history after trying who knows how many times (I didn't finish as she wanted to play). What is the solution for getting my backed-up Store files to install? I don't want to have to go through the rest of my purchase history (of course I shouldn't have to do it that way & I've never had to do that before when reinstalling The Sims 3). Thank you to anyone who responds. From what I read, Crin had a solution that didn't get posted on a topic just like this.
