Okay, seriously! Why is my game not working!?

ever since i installed pets, my game keeps freezing. it'll load and i can play probably for as long as 20 minutes and then it just freezes. why does it do that? does it have something to do with origin because my origin doesnt connect, it hasnt connected for a long time but i've had no problem until i installed pets. what is going on?! i dont want to go back to sims 2, it sucks!! :evil:
