Missing store content: Serenity Retreat, the greenhouse and the street market

All the stuff that came with Serenity Retreat, the Al Fresco Street Market and Stones Throw Greenhouse is gone. I uninstalled, deleted the files, cleared out the .caches, rebooted the computer, downloaded and installed the files, cleared out the .caches again, and the stuff is still gone. I also have problems with the fryer and the teppanyaki grill. Does anyone know if I can get the stuff back or is it gone forever (until EA fixes the issues)? I play old saves by the way.

I really hope someone can help me, because I love that store content!

EDIT: I removed my Saves and my Downloads folders and tested the reinstalled content in a brand new save, but everything is gone. The greenhouse is missing all the architectural pieces as well.

People have been having all sorts of trouble with "missing" stuff. I STILL no longer have my Serenity Retreat even though I still have the items themselves but the venue is gone! Also, MOST of the downloads in my launcher show as NOT being installed yet when I go to install them again I get a message that they are already installed. And sure enough, the items are in my game. Yet the little icons that show my various world and set purchases are no longer there either. It's TOTALLY frustrating! But, as usual, EA is staying silent on this issue no matter how many people have been complaining about it.

I still have the venues, but all the items are missing. The greenhose looks just like a regular hose at the moment since all the architectural pieces are gone. I'm really sad about it, because I love the venues and the items!

Thank you for answering AmaraRena - at least now I know there are several others with this problem as well! I hope EA fix this issue soon!!!

I had this same issue in January or February. I wanted to use the Ice Lounge and couldn't find it. It's difficult to find some lots even on the best of days because they have numbers as names, or they're just called "community lot" or whatever. Ice Lounge is one of those.

I started looking through the library to see what else might be missing. Couldn't find the pet shop, Serenity Retreat, the bonus venues that came with Late Night, and several others. I think it was nine of them.

Ended up spending hours using an outside program and the latest backup of my game folder (in which none of the venues had disappeared yet). I opened all of the package files in the library, captured their icons and renamed them so from now on I can see what they are just be looking in the folder. I also got in-game screencaps of all the venues with odd names that are unrecognizable unless you can recognize the lounge just from the icon.

Each time I install a new venue (such as the Dragon Valley festival lot or the Renaissance Faire, which are the most recent), I go back to the library folder, rename them and also copy them to the library backup I created separately from my other game backup files. This way, I always have all the venues in one place and they're easier to put back in the game if they go missing.

It's no fun doing this and I don't understand why these venues disappear in the first place. Hoping for some kind of patch that makes it possible to install and forget about it :)

(Reading through this post again before posting, it strikes me how unnecessary all this should be!)

(edited for typos. If I ever post without having to edit, it'll be a miracle :))

This may have nothing to do with your particular issue but I noticed a lot of store bought hairstyles were missing from my game (CAS, mirrors when I went to change my sims' appearances) but I have some mods in my game that I'd just added so I tried removing the mods one at a time and eventually I found the one that was causing the conflict. While I love what the mods let me do in the game I loved the items I paid REAL MONEY for even more. So I guess I'll be playing without the mods.

Obviously it isn't an issue with EA if 3rd party developers make things that aren't compatible with the way EA sees things. Oh well...

This is what's left of the greenhouse:

I removed my mods, but it did not help unfortunately :(

It's too bad they are not compatible!

They need to make a patch for the missing store items!

I totally misunderstood, sorry about that. What I would do is move the entire sims folder from My Documents to the desktop or elsewhere for safekeeping. Start up the game and let it create a new folder. Then close out and try reinstalling the greenhouse, see if it works in-game. Depending on what mods you had, they may have corrupted something. At one point, I reinstalled all of my store content, which was time consuming but it cleared up some problems I was having.

No worries eilian - it's sort of the same problem - we were just missing different items. I have tried everything now, but all the items are still gone. Seems like I just have to hope for a patch!

the same thing is happening to me..have lost items from my game. The items still show up in my game downloads but not in the game. I had done the thing about moving the old game to the desktop and starting over including downloading everything in my purchase history (which was a long ordeal since I own it all). All was fine until I bought and downloaded the last store set. Now I have items missing same as before. Have not used any mods or 3rd party items (even from the exchange)...so it there's a messed up file, it's EA's. :x

I deleted the compositorCache, socialCache, simCompositorCache, scriptCache and CASPartCache.

I'm worried all my store content is going to disappear.

    I've actually seen this before.

Did you get the message: "Missing Objects Warning: Some objects are missing and will be replaced"?

If so, your TS3 store content has been uninstalled due to an error.

My current problem is I can't get the ren faire back into my lot bin.

I had deleted it, thinking I wasn't going to use the actual lot as-is, and I still have all the content in my game that came with it. I tried uninstalling the Lot from the launcher (as it still showed as installed) and then re-installing it, but it still does not show up in my lot bin.

And the amount of times I've had actual content go missing from my game is just not funny.

I keep a back up now of my DCCache and DCBackup folders, but I don't think using them will help replace missing Lots. I should have made a back up of the library folder too, but didn't think of doing that.

Edit: Ah, I solved it! I found a back up of my DCCache and DCBackup from the moment before I installed DV etc. I put that one back, deleted my four cache files and the World Cache files and then just reinstalled the handful of things I'd bought since the end of May and - yay- my ren faire is back in my bin :D

Thank you so much!!! This worked! I got the store content back :D
Now I have to do as Elanor and find the venues, because they are still missing (but everything else is back - yay:-))
