Umibouzu - Modern Japanese City World WIP! (4/20 Update on pg. 2)

Hi! I've been working on this world for a while now, and I've finally racked up the courage to share this.

I've never been to Japan, so Goggle Images is all I've got here, sorry if I offend someone with my ignorance. :oops:

This is also my first world!

Specifications:

I used/will use all EPs that are released before this world is, and a few items from four SPs (HELS, FLS, TLS, and OLS)

No 3rd party CC. No store content, excluding some registry rewards and maybe limited edition content.

Might be populated.

Medium world, 200 height and well over 130 lots, might have more.

It is meant to have every lot type from every released EP, excluding tombs and UL rabbit holes. Will still have UL hangout lots though!

Will have every spawner excluding WA spawners. (Exclusion to that exclusion is the China spawners.)

This is the "Jade Resort." I saw this Korean show where these women went do a Jade mine and just relaxed there, because Jade can supposedly make you younger, or something like that. I left some empty rooms for you to put your Sunlit Tides/Gold spa stuff if you want.

One of the houses, located in the rich district. It's nowhere near finished as I didn't even put any windows or doors on it, but I'm still proud of it.

I definitely will, though just with some of them. Like the business/bistro from Showtime I didn't because I just love it so much, and I think it sort of fits the style...

I like the names, but I wanted to come up with something in full Japanese and describes the world and back story, which I have been painfully neglecting... Something about a giant monster's footprint, because the island's sort of shaped like one...

Updates!

Okay, so I've now named the world Umibouzu City - I have SimExpertJared to thank for that!

I've also decided to add the Outdoor Living and Town Life stuff packs to the requrement rosters. (Don't worry, I still use the items sparingly.)

I might also make a seperate store content version of this world so it can include all of the Japanese themed store objects!

This is the cat jungle. It's based off of cat cafes in Asia! I think it's too pink though... :?

I finished furnishing this, and I also added an empty building next to it, just for aesthetics. It's the Ota-King Internet and Manga Cafe. It's basically a library dressed as an internet cafe.

This is the Deep Freeze Ice Lounge: East. I remade the Seasons Limited Edition ice lounge in my own vision. It has more interior space so I was able to fit a lot more stuff than I would in the original one.

This is the disco club, Nanairo. I think it means 'seven colors' or something like that, but I'm probably totally wrong.

This is the reason I named it this, because of the ceilings. I realize that there are only six colors, but that's all I could fit! And "Rokuiro" doesn't sound as good...

Also, the interior is mostly just cyan... I guess I'm just biased!

It's half based off Hanami, "Flower Viewing," so I left a big area for public picnic spots for NPCs to view the trees and eat and stuff...

Hi everyone! Thanks for all the support an feedback! I appreciate it greatly!

So this really isn't much of an update, I really didn't get much done since last time. I've been really busy with midterms, they just snuck up on me! Like, literally, I didn't even know about them until the week before! :oops:

So instead of showing you new buildings, I'll just give you some interior views and stuff of a few buildings. Also, it's my birthday!

Thanks! I guess come people could count it as its own color... I personally don't because I see white as a combination of all colors. Though some people see it as no color... Opinions, you know?

Time for an update! I know, I said I'd work on sculpting and the forest... but that won't happen this update. Sorry. :oops:

This is my favorite so far!

...But when I zoom out, the roofs become invisible.

I don't know how to fix it, but I think it has to do with the CFE on the roof...

The only thing that looks a bit weird to me is the raised circular area near the sea... it just looks to round/high?

Thanks! I agree, I actually thought that too as I started making it. (It was actually the first thing I made in the entire map.) I eventually decided to pretend that it was a mountain with a huge chunk cut off by some construction workers/magical wizards to make room for that lot.

Update! I'm really excited about this one because most of the buildings I've made lately were just shells, but I've done some interior stuff now so that's cool.

First, I've changed the layout in the rich district, and I think it's much better like this.

I decided I needed more than one salon, as the city's so big and it would be a pain to have to send Sims from the rich district all the way to the residential just to get their hair done. It's a sort of strip mall kind of thing like in the University world. There's also a small cafe on the lot.

I really didn't do all that much, mostly just unfinished, hideous looking shells, I don't even have pictures of those to present.

But I have some pictures of the world in snow, since people apparently like those!
