problem with shiny textures and windows

This is difficult to explain and im sorry there are no pictures. recently (as in the past few days) ive had a problem with shiny metal textures in the game in that instead of being merely shiny they show up blue, like something blue is reflecting off them.

im having what might be a related problem with house windows- the windows and the light they filter goes red, yellow, green excetera with no explanation. any ideas as to why?

Please post your FULL Dxdiag info.
Press the start button in the task bar, in the search box Type in Dxdiag.
(on XP use the run box)
Press Enter. A window will come up.
Press the save all info , you can save it to your desktop,
then copy & paste it to here in this thread, it will be really long.

Sorry this pic is low quality...but Its a prtscn one

    Untitled.jpg"width=600"

    Screenshot-110.jpg"width=600"

The windows take on the tint of whatever color you paint the room, and metalic surfaces in are super shiney. The problem came with Ambtions. Most people have this issue. I though the patch after ambitions would have fixed it, but its did not. Windows in the house are not see through anymore, the appaer to be "milky" and like I said if you change to room color, they take on the tint of that color.

    Screenshot-57.jpg"width=600"

Note I changed this room paint to like a creamy color and the windows take on that tint.

And IamMamainred Like I said there are alot of us, well most of my friends here on the forums, that have the same issue

But here is my dxdiag...but there are no issues, all was fine before the Ambitions install

The opacity of the windows in TS3 seems to high. They reflect or I should say "bounce off" colors. EA needs to back down the opacity factor on the windows so they'll reflect more than bounce the colors back. It's a real graphics nightmare to see your perfect house you built with green reflecting windows - or any color for that matter. Windows are supposed to be clear, not opaque.

Yah, the lighting and window issues are a real pain...the lighting problem started with WA, my guess is they were trying to get the lighting to work proper inside the tombs. The windows luckely were not affected.

When Ambitions came along the lighting realy got bad, and I think it was the them trying to get the whole "foggy" affect seen in Twinbrook. Thats when the windows started to become reflective and take on the room tint.

I hope this issue is corrected with Late Night.....I hope....I hope!
