I don't mind either. I'm more bothered by the fact that Resume button no longer loads the last played household anymore.

It takes me to the last played household. What happens in your game?

It takes me to Brindleton Bay neighbourhood screen. Most often it shows a sim I have there as last played even though I didn't, and when it loads it either loads her household or Brindleton Bay neighbourhood.

@crocobaura What was the last thing you did before exiting? I find that if I end a game in world mode, especially after editing sims (or just deleting all the new townies) I will be returned to Willow Creek the next time I start (the first sim I played in the save live there), but if I end the game in live mode resume will take me back to the family I last left.

I never delete townies and rarely edit my sims, except to just give them some new clothes when playing them. I do tend to build a lot, maybe it could be because of saving on a community lot? But sometimes it says resume with a sim I haven't played at all in the last session, and even in the couple of sessions before that, so this is why it makes no sense to me at all. I just use the load game option nowadays, as I can choose from there which lot to load first.

@crocobaura Does that happen to be the sim with the first-in-the-alphabet name?

It doesnt bother me TBH . I have only ever started two saves in over 2000 hours of play . I personally delete 99% of all premade townies and more important for me would be EA stopping the game randomly spawning more and more unnecessary townies every single game session

I play premades but I agree on randomized townies I need toggle to turn it off because at this point of game I have enough sims for everything without constant spawning of randomized ones

No, I don't think she is, her first name starts with an E and family name with a V, I am pretty sure there are other sims out there before her.

Will have to check for this survey. I frequently play with existing characters, specially in custom saves (I have a really good Sims 2 in Sims 4 one).

Glad to know it happened, I want to bypass CAS solely because I've already made the Sim I wanted, I don't want to fill the gallery with clones because I restart and create new test saves mods!

Never saw the survey. Agree that they should know by now that most of us don't want to start a new game in CAS, an online make your character first hold-over we don't need or want. The earlier versions go right to the neighborhood/world, which is how I like it. The button in the bottom right corner is just fine if wanting to make new sims.

Didn't know about the survey, but I do like being able to see the neighborhood, before being thrust into CAS.
I like to see the premade families, whether I want to play them or not, I like to see them. It depends on where I want to move my Sims after CAS. You can still see the premades after CAS, but I want to see them before.
I also want to see what houses are available before going into CAS to create a Sim.
Older versions let you see the neighborhoods, and gave you the choice of creating a Sim. Also, it was nice in Sims 2, where you could use premade neighborhoods, or build your own.

Didn't get to see the survey, but I seldom start new games because I already have quite a few of them. When I want a change I play one or two of the families I don't usually play (with aging off).

I got the survey when I logged on today. I would like to have the option to start from Manage Worlds. I don't think the option to start in CAS should be removed. It should be a choice.

Sometimes I want to prepare the world first. Adding additional lots, for instance. Sometimes I want to be able to start with a premade family.

What I tend to do now when starting a new save is I download one of my own families from my library and just dump them on an empty lot. Then I use motherlode so I can also download their house from my library. Then I go play with whoever or whatever I want.
