According to the "Nightmare Fuel" page for The Sims on TvTropes, fast-forwarding too much could possibly do the "stretchy" glitch for the pets where they get all long and distorted. It never said how rare/common this is, or if it only does so with various graphical cards etc...
No, no, no it's not that I'm judging EA help service or anything, I just honestly felt it was too much trouble for packs I realized I didn't really like for the most part. But you guys convinced me :) Thanks :3 But also I'm just really shy talking to strangers in live chats (I'm fine with chats like these, because I don't…
Thank you, but EA's help section only deals with specific "common" problems, unless I contact a dev directly and I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that... really to be honest, I don't even care about the packs anymore, as the 5 I can't use anymore are... -World Adventures: I love the cultural stuff and able to learn songs…
What about transferring it to a data traveler? Also what are the chances, that EA will update Origin to be able download the Sims 3 DLC onto that instead? I can actually see that happening. Sure, EA seems to have left that store for dead, but when the time rolls around to axe it, I can't imagine they won't think of this.
Thanks  but then again, is it even costing them anything to keep the store up and running? I mean, the online store for The Wii is still functional despite the system being quite old and will be two gens old once the "Nintendo Switch" is released next year, even moreso when the Wii lost it's online functionality,…
I mean, I am playing the game, it runs normal, then I place a lot down, and the entire game lags like crazy. So assuming from what you said, I just have to wait for the lot to finish loading and it'll run fine?
I mean, yeah I don't actually care, I just saw this as an oversight. And personally was expecting for my Sim to beat up the Zombie Bear or something. But yeah, no big deal.
:'( that stinks. But... even then, Diablo II just recently got an official update and it was released 9 years before Sims 3. But... I shouldn't use that to justify my hope, as different companies work in different ways. honestly I wouldn't hold my breath that EA cares anymore.
Though, seeing as at least EA IS still patching Sims 3, it begs the question why they don't patch up the data that clogs over time, eventually lagging the game down which is one of the biggest complaints. I mean if they decide to patch they might as well do the patches that matter.
Okay thank you :3 well, I'll be sure to check every time I load just to be careful, who knows maybe those two times were flukes and it probably won't happen again in a long time.
> @Cororon said: > It's a chore to install a mod that makes your game smoother? Then installing or loading the game is a chore too. Or washing the dishes after you've eaten. With installing and loading the main game it's simple enough, with mods there are tons of steps and different people telling me different…
Thanks, I'm just going to take it easy and if it gets really laggy I'll start a new family. I usually don't spend long on a family regardless anyway :3
Though sadly for Sims 3, while you can turn off memories of the Sims you are playing. Every Sim in the neighbourhood is gaining memories regardless, and that you can't turn off without mods. Or so I've heard.
You know, I don't even really care that much to bother with all this. I was happy enough playing it eventual lag or not. This is turning into a massive chore.
I installed the mod that cleans up the junk stuff. But to be honest, knowing the horror abomination glitches that can come with mods, I think I am too paranoid to play now. But I'm not gonna be a coward :D I'll just go with it, and see what happens :) Edit: Though now that I think about it, I think the terrifying glitch I…
