A light in the darkness
For all to see, far and wide.
It guides even the heartless
And those who try to hide.
Brave and dutiful while it tirelessly rotates,
like a beautiful and ornate carousel.
Seamen see it and don't hesitate,
Yelling and ringing the alarm bell.
We are also lights in the darkness,
For all to see, our life, our beacon, shines,
Will you twinkle and sparkle,
Or turn the unhappiness into gaudy whines?
Our lives in this world of hatred and greed,
Can turn into the negative overflowing.
But if you stand tall, brave, and different, indeed,
You will see yourself in others, glowing.
