Thank you for the information! I am extremely interested in trying these as well. I have never done this, but think I will try now. The story progression sounds very interesting. I get bored with my game because no one marries, has children or even gets a job unless I constantly switch my active household. And I get tired…
I have pre-ordered Showtime, but I don't plan on using any of the social features. The Sims 3, in my opinion, is a single player game, and I am not interested in sharing with others that my Sim got promoted or kissed another. I find that rather juvenile.
Also, after entering ctrl + shift + C and typing testingcheatsenabled true (false to turn off) hold the shift key and click on the mailbox of your active household's lot and select Make All Happy. This will max out all of the needs for all of the Sims on your lot.
It isn't a big deal, of course, but if I have an obese Sim couple, then chances are that their child should be obese. I like a little variety in my neighborhood and all the kids look the same. The slider to make them bigger doesn't make that much of a change in their appearance.
I think that the parties are worse than a normal visit. At times, it seems as if sims get stuck and my sim can't converse or have any type of interaction with anyone else. I have tried to make introductions or have a conversation, but the other sim won't get up out of their chair. Total waste of time. I was hoping Late…
I used to let Story Progression have its way with the Sims that moved out, but I found that they all were deciding to have same sex relationships, so there were never any new children being born in the neighborhood. I have turned off Story Progression now, and just change the Active Household.
That is odd. I have gone to parties were only one of the household was there, but the host was always there. They often go to sleep too. Shouldn't there be music and food too? The party invites don't work out too well.
Someone posted on the Forum that you could wait until the Food Truck stopped at a location and then pause the game and go into Edit Town to save the lot with the Food Truck on it. I did that, but it didn't work when I placed the lot in Sunset Valley. The Food Truck didn't save with the lot.
I started a new game after installing the patch since I had a bug with my butler in the last game. Everything is working okay, I didn't really have too many problems before, but I noticed that my Sim isn't earning Lifetime Reward points as time passes. Usually the number grows some without completing promises. Anyone else…
They just added laundry to the store, so your Sims can do laundry without the expansion pack. I think that it was actually added in a patch, but you have to buy the washing machines and driers.
Also, I just checked your blog and you had asked if you can only play one expansion pack at a time. The expansion pack is added to your base game, so it gives you more to do. You can buy and add all of the expansion packs and stuff packs to your base game. You are not limited to one versus another.
I totally agree. I love Ambitions because I like to decorate the homes and am happy making-over the neighborhood Sims that randomly dress themselves horribly. Late Night gives you more items, clothing and "play" because it isn't limited to work time.
I know that some top positions for jobs pick your Sim up for work in a limo. Also, I have the Late Night expansion pack and my Sim is a celeb, so instead of a taxi, she is driven in a limo. There are not any limos in buy mode though.
My butler was electrocuted while repairing the hot tub. I didn't save the game and when I played again, the hot tub broke and she was electrocuted during that attempt to repair it. I guess it was her time.
I love your thread! Very entertaining. Sorry you were robbed. Is that a new gate from LN? I have been wondering if a burglar could sneak in if you have one of the new gates with the call box out front.
That is funny! I tend to have a male get the fertility reward and then try to make as many kids as he can before he dies. I have had one guy have over 20 kids before he met with death. The sad thing is that one of the babies was electrocuted by the TV. Not sure how that happened, she wasn't in my main household.
What is a "wellie"? Is that what you call the swimming flippers? I am so tired of seeing all of the sims in my towns wearing the flippers. I didn't have any problems with Bridgeport until after a little while into my new game. (It had been slow of course.) But now actions are canceled by themselves and they won't go to…
