I have to vote for Sims 2, but to be honest I haven't played the others. I do miss the hotel experience though as it made vacations feel like vacations. Now we do get a rental with the whole family and pile in, but when I was growing up, it was hotel stays. I enjoyed vacations in Sims 2 very much.
Maybe we need a discussion thread here on the forum where we can share known information informally. although I know that can be difficult to keep focused. Another option though is to check Deaderpool's Discord channel. Also Scarlet has a site updated daily, but daily updates are usually linked at Deaderpool. This morning…
I appreciate all you have done here @luthienrising This is my most used thread on the forum, and I will be very sorry to see it move. I know it's been a lot of work for you though! Hopefully I can learn to use the new site. I've never been able to figure it out and always feel lost. Will you still be posting on Discord?
@JAL I actually switch around 5 a.m. It works best for me. That way most are not caught out of work or school. Baristas sometimes are a tad late, and criminals.
I play with the premades. I do stay in a neighborhood and world until I've rotated through all the families. Usually I focus on one or two of them who will get the majority of my time that rotation. The others I might just check in on for a day or two. I mostly play with aging off, but every now and then I play with it on…
I agree, baking should have been base game. This is where pack refreshes could be used to advantage. If something gets taken from the pack for base game, add something new to it in a refresh. Also grateful for mods that let me bake cakes instead of cooking them.
I think this will be a top priority purchase for me. It may end up replacing some of my food mods. I can't believe we are getting three new appliances!!!
I'm slowly collecting everything, and I have most of the packs. But there are a lot of kits I don't own. I'm not sure where these two fall in terms of my must haves. The Modern Luxe rates higher than Pool Splash. I love the framed television! I've spent so much on birthdays and home decor this month. So I probably won't…
I'm pretty sure it was 2019. I was a Sims 2 player, and I wasn't initially impressed by Sims 4. But EA gave the base game away for free as a short time offer. (This was before it was free permanently.) I decided to give it a try and fell in love. EA has definitely made lots of money as a result since I now own all the…
I do check the site, but never the Sims 4 hashtag. It can be toxic and often adult content slips in. I do follow the official Sims gurus and a few simmers. Sometimes I regret even that as drama still occurs. I am disappointed that so little use is made of the official forums to interact with fans of the game. I've had to…
I love to read, go for walks, and visit places in my local region. Especially places that are natureful as my youngest used to say. I am blessed to live near a national park. I also enjoy getting together with my friends. For games, I like Animal Crossing and Wylde Flowers among others
@Lenny_Ogg I don't think she is talking about individual threads. In the last few days when I come to the forums from Google, I get sent to the last page of recent discussions. Something may have changed with Google algorithms . I always came here before by typing Sims 4 Forums and I would get links to various forum…
Barbie at the theater. A little bit of a hot mess, but so much fun! Ponyo on television. I've been trying to watch all the Studio Ghibli movies. Tomorrow I'm planning to see Haunted Mansion.
Is there a normal rotational play? Most people do seem to rotate on a schedule, such as after one Sim week. Some, like me, play with one family until I accomplish whatever goal I have for them or I get bored. I also tend to bring in other families in the neighborhood, so there is a common neighborhood story. Others rotate…
While I have a five star island, I prefer functionality over decor. I want to be able to easily walk around my island, including my beaches. I try to have some areas that stay the same year round, but others that I can change seasonally. For instance, on the beach I have an area dedicated to crabbing with a signs, buckets,…
It's August 1st, and I finally caught the Walker Cicada. My bug collection is complete! Looking forward to getting the golden net, but what will I use it for?
Bella has clearly made use of a potion to restore youth. I think the problem is almost all, maybe even all, Sims start at the beginning of their life stage when you begin the game. I don't think we can take that as an indication of their exact age.
I'm enjoying watching the Let's Play videos coming out now. The world is gorgeous! I think I'll enjoy the cave exploration too, especially knowing it keeps going. It'll probably be a month before I can get it since a little someone is having her first birthday party, and I can't really justify getting Horse Ranch for her. 😅
