Agh, choosing 1 all time favourite is difficult. Can I list 3? And before anyone answers me, that question is rhetorical. I am listing 3. :P Sims 1 Hot Date: I loved this pack. It was the first time Sims could leave their lots, the community lots were really well done, I loved the restaurants and dance cages (lol), the new…
It's a glitch that came with the latest patch. If you're partial to mods there's one on modthesims by plasticbox that specifically addresses this issue: http://modthesims.info/d/570271 The other option is to wait for Maxis to patch the patch. (Edit: or only serve ice cream ;) )
Woohoo didn't really exist until TS2. In TS1 two sims would kiss passionately and a box would sometimes pop up asking "should we have a baby?". In the expansion pack Livin' Large (or Livin' it Up for those in the UK) the vibrating love bed was introduced and Sims could 'play' in it together, but no babies ever resulted.…
I had this same issue until I removed my mods and deleted the cache files. I then put back in only the minimum number of mods I needed to play the game (and only if they had been updated by the creator) and the problem was gone. If you don't use mods, then I'm sorry I don't know how to fix it.
Amazon hire thousands of extra temporary staff around Christmas, so don't be surprised if mistakes are made. No one can walk into a job knowing everything about the company they're representing, and when Newbie customer service reps get asked rather specific questions that probably deviate from their basic training, you're…
I'm interested in it too, and lots of the features sound pretty neat. What I think bothers most people is that precisely none of what's been shown has been desperately yearned for. Giving young adults even more attention when practically the entire fanbase is demanding the opposite is a strange move. The expansion seems…
I wonder if Maxis have raised the population limit. The longer this game lasts, and with every bit of space being added to house more Sims, the more pressing the issue becomes.
Yes!! You've hit the nail on the head there. I really disliked ghosts in TS3, and now instead of restoring them to their former, fun glory, TS4 has further continued the "blandification" and designed them to be as pointless as possible. I don't know whether they thought it was a good idea to do that, or perhaps it would…
I think I prefer it that way. If other members of my household intruded on my 'business time' (that is not meant in the way it sounds, although I suppose the same reasoning applies) I'd be annoyed. They weren't invited and I don't want to have to supervise them in case they start flirting with a close blood relative, or…
Okay, so none of what the OP posted is actually confirmed, but if it was I kinda like the idea of blue aliens. Not keen on the human eyes, but hey. It's too expensive to put much effort in.
One of my most favourite and bittersweet memories comes from TS2. I'd created a couple in CAS and set them up in a new starter home in Pleasantview. I'd really gone to town on the most expensive items of furniture I could afford and was planning on keeping that level of comfort going. I mean, just because they lived in a…
Good grief, OP, she's certainly changed. Might I suggest fattening her up a tad? Nothing too extreme, just enough so she's a little bit more... pleasantly rounded.
Let's start off by instantly dismissing the TS3 version. Ugh. I don't know who created... it, but she certainly isn't Dina. I quite like the TS4 version... only, again, it isn't Dina. Her skin has been bleached and her entire ethnic background completely forgotten about. I like how with the TS2 version, while maybe not the…
As a general rule I really dislike the look of the Sims in TS3, however on this occasion I actually prefer TS3 Nancy. Whilst there's nothing inherently ghastly with Nancy in TS4, she looks like she's suffering from a minor allergic reaction to a bee sting in the face.
Gosh, that house brings back good memories. :-) I have to wonder though, who has a floor lamp next to a toilet? I wonder, perhaps the Newbies require a relaxed and cosy ambience when sitting upon the lavatory? Enough with the distractions though, let's compare... We'll start with furnishings. I think TS3 wins here. CASt…
I don't mind them, I suppose. I'm glad Sims can't procreate with them now- I agree with others in that it was too weird. However I do wish they stayed a certain colour depending on how they died like in TS3 (and 2?), and I still miss the TS2 ghosts as well. I loved the slight risk that they could scare your Sim to death.…
Your storybook cottage is beautiful! You've furnished it in a perfectly cosy fashion, and I can wholeheartedly agree with everyone else in that the roof is wonderfully done, and I love the landscaping too. I've often marvelled at the various storybook cottages people have built in TS2/3/and-now-4 over the years but have…
I saw the word 'victorian' and I was hooked, and if my first house looks like anything as good as this I'll be one happy guy! I love the little 'potions room' tucked away in the turret. Great job. :-)
Me inspiring you? Haha you're too kind - I had, what? Four uploads? xD I suspect it may actually be *you* inspiring *me*, but I'll certainly take the compliment nonetheless. :P
Wow, I love this. In fact I love all your houses, but I love this. xD I will definitely be downloading this next time I open up the game. As usual with you it's furnished and landscaped beautifully, and I really appreciate the large yard out the back. To have a beautifully built house that's also perfectly playable is very…
Wow, it's beautiful. :-) you've managed to fit so much with such a comparatively small budget! My legacy-style family currently use the entrance hall as a second bedroom in their house because they simply can't afford to move. When I download this, however, I'll be a step closer to letting them live somewhere fit for…
