You can do specialty stores too -- a hobby shop (sells hobby activities and hobby-related clutter), a store for office supplies (desks, office chairs, office clutter), a furniture shop (IKEA!), a music shop, etc. You can also make a day spa lot, or a car dealership (but you'll have to purchase the cars at your sims' house…
This is a really cool idea! I'll be watching. :) Also, I never knew that TS1 took that much information on a household's finances and expenses. If only they did the same for the later Sims games, then I'd have a much easier time processing taxes for my hoods!
This is really sad to hear. I've been debating whether or not to purchase GTW because I was hopeful that EA didn't plum up at least one of their EPs, but I suppose not. Maybe I'll wait for it to go on sale.
BaCC = Build a City Challenge. It's a challenge/playstyle that some simmers like to use because it involves building a "city" from the ground-up with a handful of founders. It's pretty fun!
I wandered into this forum with the same idea in mind, OP. TS4 looks like a wonderful game when other people play it, but for me it loses appeal quickly. I played TS3 for awhile actually and enjoyed it before the game bugs became too much, but I prefer TS2 by a long shot. I'm pretty frugal however, so I'm wanting to get my…
One thing to check -- did the lot come with any mods/sims attached to it? That can cause crashing and it can spread its disease into other community lots in the neighborhood. Did you run the lot through CleanInstaller? I also concur with the statement made about witches, particularly the evil ones. My laptop hates witches,…
I made a single sim and his daughter in CAS and when he got married to another sim, his daughter not like her new stepmother. She didn't hate her or anything like that, but they often argued whenever I directed them to chat. Then the dad cheated on his wife, and his firstborn (CAS) daughter didn't care that he cheated,…
I've purchased the base game and Outdoor Retreat, but nothing else so far. I'm debating purchasing Get to Work and Spa Day, but everything else just feels like a cash grab.
All I want is for my sims' guests to actually plant their pixelated hindquarters into their chairs when the ceremony starts. Is that too much to ask? Everyone else's ideas are good too, but that's the main thing I'm hoping for.
I'd love this! Consider me signed on. ;) As a suggestion for YA dogs and cats, this can be the stage where they gain one or two more traits and start acting more rebellious/hyperactive. I don't know about everyone else, but when my dogs got around 1 - 3 years old, they were just like snotty teenagers and constantly pushed…
I agree with you. I'd love to see the BodyShop tool that came with TS2 make an appearance with TS4! It would certainly make previewing meshes more accessible. Currently we have other third-party programs like it, but they don't always get updated promptly with the addition of EPs and some programs have features that others…
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but I really want the traditional TS2 memories to make a return. Also, fears! I missed the fears from TS2, and a lot of the fun NPCs from TS1.
I'm going to stupidly toss my hat into the ring and say that I don't think child crushes are a good idea. Romantic interactions between kids would be adorable but would cause outrage in certain parent groups. I'm sure most adults would be fine with it, but it's usually the "extremists" who are the most vocal.
