I haven't played enough with Seasons to choose it yet, but Get Together had been my favorite up until that point. I love the club system, it's wonderful for grouping folks for machinima purposes, plus it makes planning holidays more fun!

Motherlode definitely -- if not the money tree. The mood stabilizer hat/buffs from Sims 2 The lack of /bigotry in the sims - folks just like or hate each other based on behaviors and interests. Two of my sims ended up being soul mates just because they loved grilled cheese! :)

Honestly, I would prefer more open-ended gameplay rather than story packs -- they seem compelling, but I can't see myself being that invested once I finish the story. If the packs could find some middle ground that could satisfy both types of players, the murder mystery or space themes sound exciting.

I guess unplayable's not the exact word I'm looking for regarding Sims 3 - but there was a significant lag for me while playing, even on newer, but faster PCs, and several routing issues with certain worlds (Isla Paradiso) that had it not been for NRAAS's mods, I would've ended up avoiding entirely.

At first it was more about creativity and wish fulfillment, but when I started playing Sims 2, I started getting more interested in storytelling.

I got spoiled off the bunk beds in sims 3, I'd love to bring those back. I saved so much space having bunk beds!

I'm 34... I started playing The Sims in 2001, but I've been playing SimCity long before then... I think I've played every iteration except for the Sims 3 & 4 console versions...

Sims Medieval was so much fun, I just wish the quest-based system was optional and more like other Sims games -- full customization, build and buy modes, and the option to control more than one Sim. If they leave quests in, there should be good rewards if you decide to complete them.

Xmiramira is one of my favorites -- I've been trying to find more creators of color to follow. onlyabidoang is also hilarious -- he makes The Sims Logic video series, they crack me up.

Honestly, Sims 2 is the longest in terms of play time. It had a certain magic to it that had great gameplay and depth, I wish Sims 4 had the same. I would play sims 3 more, but there are parts now that are still unplayable for me. :(
