  • And I think that's definitely true in this case--it's very, very guided, even more so than previous scenarios, and it would not be suitable for people who really enjoy creating their own stories--but it's a great way to figure out what the game is actually capable of--so for new players or for players who have just lost…
  • I absolutely loved these scenarios--they are perfect for people like me who aren't imaginative enough to put a well-developed character into an interesting environment. I mostly use whims (well, now wants-and-fears) based gameplay for that reason. I've done the scenarios with Farrah & Nova--I had a fabulous time. I started…
  • While I love High School Years & Discover University, it's dependent on the personality & ambition of the individual sim whether they're going to achieve academically or not. My favorite sims, though, do go to university & tend to have distinguished degrees in their fields.
  • I'm not at home and able to access the game right now--but when I am, I'll check out how the moodlets stack and let you know! :)
  • In my experience, high maintenance has the most impact on gameplay. They are constantly angry and/or tense about the most ridiculous things and then are pretty much unable to accomplish their normal tasks. I've had two die of cardiac explosions since implementing this trait. While it might be a tad overboard, it does make…
  • Whether it's the game mechanics or not, I find that there is no template for creating an engaging sim--because regardless of traits/skills/careers/families, all sims tend to act pretty similarly. I think finding a sim engaging is directly proportional to how much you pour into the sim--if you play them and acknowledge…
  • I voted sometimes--most of my sims, especially my simself, are introverted and prefer to work on their skills/hobbies at home. However, I definitely value & enjoy having more extroverted sims who go out and experience things with other sims. It all depends on my mood combined with the personality of the sim in question.
  • I'm torn between Willow Creek and Henford-on-Bagley. Both have characteristics of where I grew up, though neither is exact. I enjoy the rural/natural setting and exploring those environments with my sims.
  • Eco Lifestyle. I felt like the community spaces and NAPs added a much-needed sense of community for my sims. I'm also a huge fan of the fabrication, candle making, and juice fizzing. I also loved the CAS & B/B. It doesn't "expand" the game quite as much as Get To Work or Get Together, but it's still my favorite.
  • Feel free to add a 'me too' to the bug report! https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Most-Sims-are-greyed-out-when-trying-to-travel-with-them
  • While I really appreciated the fix so that it doesn’t take sims over an hour to eat cereal, I wish they’d have created perhaps a separate option for proper meals for exactly the reason you said—at holidays or during family dinners, it’s impossible to get the group to eat together.
  • I’m a male player who plays male and female sims pretty equally. I was raised entirely by women in real life, so my perspective probably differs from a lot of players—I simply don’t find gender identity that interesting. People are people. I view gender as performative and so it can be fun in that regard, but I don’t…
  • So I am not crazy about the idea of scenarios because my fear is that they will be another flat feature with no depth. However, one of the Game Changers (Plumbella) made a good point, which is that these may make challenges more accessible for the neurorodivergent people who might otherwise shy away from challenges because…
  • Nope. It does nothing but annoy me. I’m not even sure exactly what all it does—just that I don’t like clicking and feeling confused by all of the options.
  • Sure do! I think it’s great that we can represent the diverse spectrum of gender identity.
  • Likewise. I'll wait until they do their livestream previewing the pack, because that's generally been a decent barometer of the actual content. I'm not familiar with all of these GameChangers. Does anyone know if all of the people shown are "cheerleaders?" The two that I recognize certainly are...so I won't be getting…
  • I think I gave up when I realized that you don’t actually have to add anything. The client said they liked orange, so I just clicked the swatches that had orange options on the furniture already there…and it was done…and they loved it. I’m now tempted to go back and change absolutely nothing and just bring the clients back…
  • I guess it's possible--I do like them to be in the correct mood for their job and will occasionally bump them to "work hard" if they're close to a promotion. :o See, here I am blaming the game & the problem all along was meeee.
  • Seconding the thread by @Netzspannung but I'm also loving @CK213 's method, so I'll be trying that the next time I play as well. :)
  • Agreed. Just because my sim goes to work everyday doesn't mean they're a workaholic. I really love the concept of lifestyles & will sometimes just cheat to add the ones I want my sims to have, but it can be frustrating when they get assigned one just for performing normal everyday tasks.
  • I will say that--so far, it does seem to have prevented the never-ending phone gaming (video games), toilet destroying (mischief), and dancing. If this is all that this function manages to do, I'm still happy with it.
  • Why? :( Why no flower arranging? Why no juice fizzing? :'(
  • I'll buy the pack at release, but I really expected more--that's not their fault, that's me failing to manage my own (already relatively meager) expectations.
  • Generally, I use female sims to start a save because I simply don’t find male sims as engaging or as interesting. Whether that’s due to the limitations of CAS or my own personal bias, I’m not sure. I’m perfectly willing to believe it is my own bias, because there’s obviously no real difference in gameplay based on gender,…
  • I withheld judgment when they released the trailer because often the livestreams reveal the substantive changes. I did not come away from this livestream feeling like I learned anything that wasn’t in the trailer or pack description (although they did flesh out likes/dislikes a bit). Someone else pointed out that the…
  • Eco Living is my favorite expansion pack. :open_mouth:
  • And maybe they have given it a higher percentage of probability for coming out--because I'll be honest with you, my sims paint a lot and I didn't see it as often until recently--so I hope you're right, because I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for fairies.
  • That’s a small classic painting that’s been around since at least 2015, so it’s probably not a hint. But I do share your hope for fairies! :)
