  • Late Night and Pets are pretty good. Don't get Generations, there isn't much in it.
  • The Story Progression Mod is well worth using. I believe there is an installation guide on his site.
  • Most do, but there are a few exceptions. Check his site.
  • I'd say Pets. My friend was one of the people who accidentally got two copes of generations a while back (pre order mess ups), and she recently gave me her spare copy. I'm not impressed. Half the stuff you forget is even there after a while. You can tell they were devoting the majority of their resources to Pets by looking…
  • Just so you know, the poster above me is talking about Resident Evil, in case you didnt know the abbreviations. I'm going to wait to hear more info before deciding on whether to get this or not. The pool table and DJ booth I want (should have in Late Night. Earth to devs... ) Not to thrilled about the social…
  • I just pinched that loose bit of skin as hard as I could, just to test. Barely hurt at all.
  • I think it's staged as well. The whole room looks thrown together. The enlightened people here on the forums have learned to not get our hopes up about stuff. I was pleasantly suprised by Pets, though.
  • Perfect way to say it. There are a lot of factors here that could explain why. Tighter development schedules (less time to develop, especially considering that they're working on multiple titles), rabbitholes are an easy way out, as well as the fact that this dev team has proved themselves to be much less competent than…
  • Packages run past than sims3packs. If you have just a few, the boost isn't huge, but if you have a ton, the performance increase can be noticeable. A quick word of caution though. Packages can't be seen in the window that pops up when you start the game, so if you want to uninstall packages, you'll have to do it manually.
  • I doubt that any of this will happen. I would be nice, but EA doesn't tend to link features between EPs. I agree that some of the stuff in Late Night should be in Showtime, and vice versa. Recording studios? I highly doubt it. As important as it is for Singing careers, programing all the objects (booth, mixing desh) would…
  • I remember hearing somewhere (NOT the Curtis Paradise Show) that preproduction has started (like throwing ideas around). To be honest, the fact that people are wanting The Sims 4 kinda shows that this series has bombed a bit.
  • Either change her name to something French, or shift click "edit Sim in CAS" and get rid of it that way.
  • Judging by EA's release patterns, we'll likely see the next EP in August/September. And knowing the patterns of the types of EPs (Remake, new, remake...), the next one will likely be a classic remake, so all the Seasons freaks can start screaming again. I honestly hope Seasons is next. Not that I want it, as it kinda…
  • EA releases EPs every few months. Pets came out in October. Showtime comes out in March. Four month difference, just like most of the other EPs for TS3. When you think of it, that is really not a lot of time to develop a solid EP. The Sims 2's EPs had a seven month gap in between release. That's a lot more time to…
  • Is anyone here a registered member of Wikipedia? If so, ask the admins to put a lock on the page so only registered members can edit the page. This isn't the first time I've seen fake edits.
  • Considering how most of these supposed EPs and SPs have the word "Life" in their names, as well as incredibly unoriginal titles, I'd say that it's fake. These kinds of fake edits happen all the time. The writer (guest user instead of a registered member) even wrote "Mars" instead of March in the release category. The…
  • Man, I wish there was a mod like this. I think the laughing/hand clapping happens when your sim is in an "elated" mood. But thanks to the LN bed mood bug, your sim will have a permanent base mood increase after sleeping in a high quality bed (and vice versa for bad quality beds), to the point where even a +10 moodlet will…
  • I have to agree with the OP. This SP looks like a joke. Only 31 objects, most just decor like candles. The other 30 things are clothes and hairstyles. Clothes would be fine, except you can only have three outfits per category, at your sim will wear the same outfit unless you tell them to change. Master Suite stuff should…
  • There's two kinds of mod files. Sims3Pack and PACKAGE. Pack files are put the downloads subfolder found in the Sim 3 folder which is itself found in the Electronic Arts folder, usually in my documents. For PACKAGE files, you need to create a "Mods" folder in your Sims 3 folder, and download the resource.cfg file (should be…
  • Iams likely paid EA quite a bit of money to have branded objects made for them. Hopefully that money will go towards development rather than an executive's pockets.
  • Look, I really don't want to uninstall the Sims 3 base game only to completely screw everything up. Has anyone else had the problems I had? I've found that both Sunset Valley and Riverview get stuck on the loading screen (it doesnt freeze, the icon just keeps spinning) when loading a new household (new games too), but…
  • Yeah, well instead the EP giving glitches it's the patch. Things just got switched up. I personally don't have pets yet, the free SP with a preorder wasn't worth having to use Origin, but I agree with people that this has the most amount of content for a TS3 expansion so far. Let's hope they stick to it. WA was just…
  • Some people were joking that EA intentionally left the want in the base game to subtly push LN and Outdoor Living. Not a bad idea to be honest.
  • Ugh, the build/buy music that came with the base game was horrible. I tolerated it a first, now I just turn off my speakers. LN has a build/buy music that's slightly better.
  • Ugh, good luck getting another one out so soon. :? They're probably already working on the next two EPs and SPs already. Has anyone else encountered the problem I'm having? If I have to reinstall TS3, can I just leave LN on my hard drive, or will I have to reinstall that as well?
  • hey, any help would be appreciated
  • I like late night a lot, but be honest, I waited until direct2drive had it on sale for $10, and I wouldn't have gotten it for $40. What style of play do you like? Do you play single or couples or young adult/adult sims? Then this would be more suited to you. I'd recommend waiting for a sale or for EA to drop the price…
  • There are so many great worlds and CC out there that you shouldn't get this world, but that's my opinion. There are some great sites out there. Just avoid the sites where you actually have to pay for CC objects, because what they are doing is completely illegal.
  • Outdoor Living has a lot of nice hot tubs and some other nice looking junk. Town Life focuses mainly on the venues, giving a new gym and libray, plus new modern rabbitholes. It depends on what you want in your town. To be honest, wait until there's a sale, because the stuff packs really aren't worth $20. Also, Town Life…
