  • I wish I had more time to spend here on the Forum, and in the Gallery, looking at all the fantastic lots. I'm only here to recommend one home at this time, from my good friend @ruthless_kk. She's one of the communities most recognized builders and yesterday she decided to create a new Home For The Holidays, which is…
  • Hello Fellow Simmers, Long Time Since I have visited. I have a few suggestions here: Here's a place I'd love to visit, and right now would be a great time. Villa Mexique by #carnevorelama44 Here's a place I'd like to retire in. Beautiful cottage. Mid Sized family home by #mrandmrsplumbob Another nice cottage, at least on…
  • Thank You @rosemow. Nice to hear from you again also.
  • Hello Sim Friends! I've been gone quite a while. I just got tired of playing and building and went off into another direction. However, I am working on a house now. I bought a few of the new EPs, etc and I also intend to get into the game a bit since there's an adventure EP I'm really interested in. I promise to look into…
  • Yay!! I'm so glad that you got a Maxis Fave. Congrats for a worthy build.
  • @Xinqun, the way to promote one's work is obviously through one's own thread. Of course I did with my last house but then I got one response, which was from @rosemow, who is always faithful to compliment everyone's work; a precious person to have on these forums. I can show my work all I want but I cannot make anyone take…
  • @Xinqun I don't have a lot of followers either. I don't spend that much time building up a base of fans on here because I have a lot of other things I have to do, like go to work everyday. I do have about eight Maxis Fave, which I appreciate every single one of them. I think what's important for those who do not have a…
  • @Nore I think it's possible to over clutter a lot. Personally, I like to add lots of detail but that doesn't particularly mean to put so much stuff that it begins to look cluttered. Details mean things such as adding toilet paper perhaps in a bathroom, or towel racks. Or, filling in a large empty space on a wall. I just…
  • @EuphorialQueen that was so kind of you. Thank you for such flattering words and especially for the recommend. <3
  • @rosemow I told myself that the very first person who will reply with flattering compliments will be rosemow and you certainly did not disappoint. :) Thank you for your support of all of us who create things in the Sims environment. I guess you could call you our head cheerleader. I'm sure others will agree. A couple of…
  • I finished two houses since the last time I posted on here. Right now I just want to show off my latest. This house is a 5 bedroom/3 bath family home that was inspired by a house I seen on an episode of "Rise" the TV series. Its main feature is a double deck outdoor entertainment area in the back of the house, which…
  • Everyone, especially @rosemow, It would seem the reinstall of my game fixed the issues I was having. I have started to build a new house and I have had no weird color issues or items that will not place. I'll let you know if that changes, though I don't think it will. Thanks again for your input and assistance.
  • Thanks @rosemow. Yes @luthienrising , I just finished updating it recently.
  • Also, thing is, I started to save the family I created to my library and when I went into their house, lots of items were corrupted and changed to weird colors. So I decided not to save it. This also tells me that the problem occurred after I had placed them in a house. I played that house for a while and there was no…
  • Thanks @rosemow. Let's just hope the new install fixes them. I had to lose my WIP and I'm going to try and rebuild it the same way, if I can. At least there's a good chance I got rid of the problem but we'll see. Not today though. Tomorrow I'll start and I'll see.
  • Yes, I deleted everything. I didn't want anything left from the previous install because I didn't want the same problems perhaps to be carried over to the new install. I just thought that when I uploaded my WIP to my library that it would be saved online. I was obviously wrong and I won't make that mistake again. Next time…
  • So, it looks like my library is not an online place, just a folder on my computer. And, when I uninstalled the game and removed all my files, my library was deleted too, plus all the houses I built and have in the Gallery are still there but they no longer appear in my Library because I reinstalled the game. What a bummer!…
  • @rosemow, I reinstalled my game after I had the weird color problem with certain items, and certain items not placing. However, I had a house I was working on that I put in my Library but did not share, as it was under construction. I cannot get into my library now. I thought I could get into my library before but…
  • Well, the repair didn't work. I'll try @rosemow 's idea about cleaning out the cache and if that doesn't work, the only other thing will be a complete reinstall. Wish me luck.
  • @Pamtastic72, nope, I never use mods or cc in my builds. I just recently reinstalled Windows 10 and also reinstalled my Sims game, so something had to go wrong when I did that. I'm sure something will fix it but I'm waiting until tomorrow. I work nights and I've got to get in bed for some rest. I'll get back to you guys…
  • @rosemow, No, I use a desktop. I did think of that after saying I would reinstall. So tomorrow I'll first try to repair the game and if that doesn't work, I'll save my new house and a family I started in my library and reinstall. Hopefully at least that will work. I appreciate both of your advice, thanks. I'll let you know…
  • I learned something else; some items will not be placed because the footprint is missing, which tells me my game is corrupted somehow. Sounds like I need to do a reinstall and see if that fixes the issue. I don't understand why this is only with a few of the items. Several items when I try picking them up to place them in…
  • @rosemow, they finally showed up. I did another search for my EA I.D. and I got to my stuff. Then suddenly everything popped up in my library, so problem solved. I suppose my newly installed game just had to finally connect. Thanks for all your help, I appreciate it.
  • @rosemow, my items show up in my Library online, they just don't show up in my Library from the game, which is where I can download them from. Not even through a search.
  • @rosemow, nope, I just went and tried that and still nothing.
  • It's a habit that you can get used to. I check mine quite a bit throughout the process of the exterior work because I can see how things are looking as far as the landscaping, windows, doors and lights at night, etc. If you want your lot to get noticed in the Gallery, the covershot is a very important factor. I have taken…
  • @reanseih you always do really well with architecture. Great job! One of the secrets of having better covershots is that when you first start to build and you get your structure down, pretend to upload it to your library and check to see what the covershot is going to look like to start off with before you do any…
  • @Nejioranaid that is an amazing piece of work. I don't know if it has any practicality but it definitely is a show piece for a neighborhood.
  • You're welcome Diana. Keep up the good work. :)
  • You're welcome @ScarletPipper. And I wasn't particularly talking about you. There are so many who have completely different Origin names compared to their Forum names. At least you have "Scarlet in both your names. Good luck as you have some beautiful houses. :)
