  • I think it is the <(,) and >(.) keys if I recall correctly, I can't remember if you need to hold shift or ctrl too. My very basic tips: We may all love a bit of MOO but it is best used sparingly otherwise it starts impacting routing, unless that's just my pc. Using the dirt brushes around buildings, garden furniture/…
  • My favourite pack is World Adventures, I use it most frequently, there are obvious improvements that could be made to it such as a few more (or indeed any) touristy/ fun lots so my sims could actually enjoy their holiday home there instead of it being used as an unofficial skill-training boot camp. My least favourite is a…
  • It's hard to decide what would be my favourite thing about TS3 I love the open world and customization but I think the most important thing for me is the re-playability, I played TS4 for three days at the behest of my niece and was bored/frustrated the entire time, I don't think I have even opened it since. Yet all these…
  • Ooh retuner, I was always going to get that but felt a bit daunted by it. Thanks so much @KevinL5275 you are a star.
  • Thanks so much Kevin L5275 but that only removes the visuals but not the "berate ignorance" etc. I find that berate ignorance interaction intolerable, it really tanks a relationship fast. Thanks again for trying though.
  • 1579 hours however I leave TS3 open in the background most of the time, I have logged a load of hours in the past week or so but actual playtime has been a fraction of that. Also I don't think the figure is accurate at least once last week it added 36 hours of play time for what was probably 16 hours of the game being…
  • Is there a mod to remove the loathsome interactions from belonging to one of the awful (American) cliché groups that come with university. I avoid my sims interacting or advancing within these groups as the interactions seemed to be designed to specifically insult or cause fights, especially the nerd ones.
  • I usually keep spare pemmican or dried food from World Adventures on my sims so I rarely see the starvation thing as they autonomously eat that or drink honey if they get hungry. I burnt a frozen pizza once and didn't have time to cook an other meal so I ate a slice and it was every bit revolting as pizza usually is.
  • Hi Cinebar, no I don't mind the response I actually remember seeing your name around the TS3 forums a few years ago when I frequented them. I hope life has been treating you well! I actually agree that the above are all tremendous breakthroughs for players; a completely customisable game that you can theoretically build…
  • A base game that is not so pared back that it is little more than a minimally interactive screen saver with all the depth of a puddle would be nice, but I digress. From TS3: Open world is a must for me. Colour wheel and pattern selector is an other must. All age brackets (baby, toddler, child, teen, ya, adult and elder)…
  • I played TS1 quite late into its life span, didn't really get hooked but saw the potential. I was given the full TS2 series and became hooked, I got my little pre-school niece (at the time) hooked too. I vividly remember being at our caravan and building a house for my little nieces' first sims ( Lily and Rose) it had a…
  • I was so excited by the announcement, I even began planning a new pc build so I could play but something kept holding me back from committing to pre-order LBY, this thread helped me realise what it was; it's the lack of whimsy! Whatever the flaws (and there are a multitude) of the sims series it's the whimsy that keeps…
  • Hi Irene, yeah I always search both parts and the dive well, my current sim isn't yet at visa level 3 for France but I am an eternal optimist and who knows maybe this time I will get the opportunity. Thanks for the advice x
  • WA remains my favourite EP, I have completed the tombs several times so I don't mind a little cheat if I feel it necessary. One weird thing though, I have never been given the opportunity that leads to the nectary being explorable beyond the non adventure chain bit. I am currently playing an adventurer again so maybe this…
  • I love witches, witches were always my favourite childhood supernatural, I used to write little witch stories every playtime at school when I was 5 in fact the school worried about me isolating myself whilst other kiddies were playing with the sandpit etc. I really enjoy witches in both TS2 and TS3 but I don't like using…
  • Millionaires if you include properties, they were actual millionaires until they bought a home in the future that had two stupidly expensive, not to mention unneeded, cars in the basement. Generation one seemed to have some kind of tiberium magnet and ended up super wealthy buying homes and vehicles for 4 of 5 children.…
  • I am with @Deshong04 I will take life with its ups and downs and precious memories, sure it would be nice to see my former fiancée who was taken from this world at 41 but I wouldn't resurrect him even if I could, I think that he had his time here and that there is no pain for him now, I couldn't face putting him through…
  • My head has been getting nipped to try TS4 so I signed up to Access to try it for a month, I am not playing TS3 for the month to give me a chance to "bond" with TS4. Just over a fortnight left (thank all that is good and great) until I can return to a game I actually enjoy and abandon the plastic not so fantastic TS4.
  • My favourite is still World Adventures, three new worlds, three distinct skills (although I think alchemy rather than photography would have been the ideal location skill), tomb raiding, excavating. To this day nearly every household ends up with visa at level 3 and a holiday home, I love using holiday homes as actual…
  • It varies with the sim, I try to give them clothes that suit their interests and personality and take into account the style of the world they are in (unless I want them to stand out). Some sims get many makeovers others spend their lives looking as if they have just rolled around in a charity shop bin. It also depends on…
  • For my last couple of obsession sessions I have been playing with progeny from a hetero male, I found I like playing with established sims much more than straight outta cas. Before that anything went, whatever mood I was in I rolled with it. Strangely I don't think I have ever played a homosexual male relationship unless…
  • It was my self sim and she died of old age, very old age I was getting really frustrated she wouldn't pop her cookies because I had plans for her toyboy husband which turned him into a bit of a letch after his period of mourning.
  • I try to suit my sims persona but most of them end up looking a bit boho. Whilst other ladies have noted no heels I love heels, I cant wear them in real life so I live vicariously through my sims, I used to love buying heels in the TS3 store, I just assume the heels aren't pinching their pixels. I hate dressing men in the…
  • Neither had I until I started adding store content that is still banjanxed to this day plus IP and Bridgetown endless routing issues. I thought perhaps my PC was getting old at first but it's the same with the new one with better specs. TS3 is my favourite game ever and my favourite sims iteration that I have played (I…
  • I have always wondered what your computer specs are? Doesn't playing with so many mods wreak havoc? I am wary of conflicts and mods that would slow the game. I only use Nraas register, overwatch and mastercontroller because I trust Nraas as the saviour of the TS3 glitchfest.
  • I am delighted to see this back on the front page, I skulk around this post quite often admiring everyone's beautiful pics.
  • I have gone down the MC route a few times and occasionally padded a brand new sims bank account for story purposes, thing is I am always tempted to make them savants and then I get bored quickly. I must admit I really enjoy playing new sims with very little and watching them build a life and a home. I wish there was a home…
  • Most recently I have been playing with the progeny of former sims, I have always hated that newly made sims have zero skills, I used to think it was unrealistic in the extreme for anyone to reach YA and be a completely blank slate. Plus they often have friends and some goodies in their back pocket that they have acquired…
  • It's my sims choice no matter how good, bad or ugly if they want to get hitched to them I'll try and make sure they do however once they are hitched they are stuck with them (as am I). I don't go in for divorces in my game, marriage vows should mean something if you are determined enough to go through that palaver, For me…
  • @puzzlezaddict Once they get the alien to move in the fun begins with the theorist often taking revenge on non believers but getting an alien to move in is the top of the career and they are free to pursue other careers. It depends on the sims traits what way they go; insane sims sometimes get "cured" by a quick trip to…
