  • Suggestion: move the shopping link to under the options menu. Someone might actually look for it there.
  • I’ve already said I won’t buy the new stuff pack and won’t update my game because of this. Now that I see that my favorite mod creater, @83bienchen has drawn the line here as well, I guess it’s over for me. I find Bienchen’s mods essential for enjoying this game. This is a sad day. A shopping cart is not useful in the UI…
  • I was totally going to buy the new stuff pack tomorrow but not anymore! I won’t even update my game because of this thing.
  • I am busy from 7am-8pm with a break in the middle for however long my son naps. I could play for an hour or so during the nap, but it’s better if I keep up with the housework. So I try to play at night if my husband and I don’t have something to watch together, or he’ll work or play his own game. Lately, I’ve been working…
  • I swore up and down that I would never buy the Moschino stuff pack, but when I saw how it improved photography, I begrudgingly had to have it. I don’t feel it’s right to lock something like that behind another pack when I had already bought Get to Work for the photography feature. I absolutely will never buy the following…
  • I would totally be a “historical player” if we had options like this! I love to watch the Ultimate Decades Challenge from SeeJenGame and it’s so inspiring. But I am intimidated by all the mods that are needed to make that look and feel realistic. And I have such little time to game now, I wouldn’t get anywhere if I had to…
  • A rewind option. But not necessarily to change the past, although you could. Imagine playing something out and rewinding to watch it all unfold.
  • I keep backups just in case, but I’ve only gone back a couple of times. I rarely think about my older saves. Been there, done that, would rather start fresh so I remember exactly what I’ve got going.
  • The reasons I want cars have nothing to do with watching them be driven. They’re a major, realistic expense for most people. It would add more challenge financially, but there could be cheaper modes of transportation available (like calling for a cab). I could see some traits preferring certain types of cars. There could…
  • I understand why we don’t have spiral stairs but they just teleport from a spot outside of the elevators in this game. It would take absolutely no effort to give us this building tool.
  • Ok but they were still changing premades not too long ago and those changes are only going to affect new games. Some bug fixes have only been for new games. I think it kills momentum to be forced to create a sim and move them in somewhere if that’s not what I needed to do. Suppose a new player comes in and just wants to…
  • @mcrudd Ohhh see I was clicking on “Enter Create-a-Sim” from the UI. I thought CAS was CAS no matter how you get there. But I see that you are absolutely correct! I wonder why it’s like that? I’ve never noticed any other differences in CAS one way or the other… weird. Thank you for telling me.
  • I think that many people feel like a “tutorial” sounds boring and just want to play. So the discovery quests help with the basics and promise rewards to incentivize newbies to use them.
  • I know how to change it, but mine are always grayed out because “you can’t edit pre-existing sims”
  • I find it annoying that we have to use the cheat for CAS full edit mode to adjust the romantic and sexual preferences. I can never do it without the cheat for “Pre-Existing Sims”.
  • I’ve asked for varying compatibility between sims based on their personalities and interests. Many have asked for a reorganization of the social menus. ETA: I’ve asked for ways to use the Get to Work harvestables from Sixam and they added the pizza with UFO fruit in Home Chef Hustle. It’s amazing to think of all the…
  • It always drove me crazy that even in past Sims games, they’ll just put a baby/infant on the floor like that. Then I had a baby and the floor is really the safest place to put them, sometimes. Definitely not a couch, bed, etc. at least a blanket appears under the infants until they can crawl. Bienchen’s mod is essential in…
  • I allow my sims to listen to their favorite radio stations often. If I don’t want to hear it, I put the radio on low, but I would never mute the game. My favorites are Easy Listening, Retro, Summer Strut and Winter Holiday. I love one Latin Pop song called Sleeptalking. I didn’t like the Alternative station so I replaced…
  • I’m a stickler for aging on exact birthdays to keep it fair for my rotational population. The only place I play around with age is during adulthood. I allow my adults to take the potion of youth once at the end of their adult life stage, then they go through it again as middle-aged adults. I give them makeovers to look…
  • This setting has been in the game the whole time. The menus are contextual vs traditional. Contextual means the first layer of menu options has suggestions based on context, acting as a shortcut to get to an interaction you might choose. You have to click “More” to get to the traditional menu. Traditionally, the social…
  • For sure, I only ever have one of each type of plant. Maybe I should dig up the plants at the end of the season and plant new ones as needed. There are some plants I never grow (blackberries, for example) because they are not called for specifically in any recipe, and just opening a few herb seed packets will give me all…
  • I agree! I never sell those with the UI, I just let them spoil in the fridge to be thrown out later. I love your mod that moves the “Open” option to the beginning of the refrigerator menu, btw.
  • By the time my sims are elders, they’ve built up so many aspiration reward points, there’s no need to complete more. Sometimes I buy reward potions and store them away on those drink trays. The big aspiration rewards are just more traits, which they won’t have for long. I use the time to take advantage of any special…
  • The game has come a long way!! I especially love the quirks they have added to infants and toddlers! They feel so true to life and they add a lot of character to those life stages while giving them more distinct personalities. It could be really fun to see a tween life stage but I also think we are missing a more mature…
  • I agree with your take. Did you notice the way they worded the new lot type “in town”? Why didn’t they just say New Lot Type? It makes me worry we can’t just use the new lot type anywhere.
  • I want cars so I can pick up the infant that somehow got all the way across the neighborhood when I loaded into the lot.
  • I don’t disagree. Did you know you can pick up the item and hit Backspace to put it in the inventory?
  • Try shift + left click to reset objects I’m curious to see a photo of the layout.
  • It doesn’t matter in game like it does IRL. But I try to hang the doors in a sensible direction. In my last apartment there were 2 cabinets that opened into the room instead of flat against the wall, and someone rehung the bedroom door so that it would open against the wall but then it blocked the light switch. At least…
  • I like to save camera positions in the most common areas so I can put the walls up and jump from scene to scene. It feels like I’m in the house. Otherwise, I use cutaway walls - never all down.
