  • Not sure if someone already said this but I just noticed on my last play that sims can listen to "space woohoo" on the computer... :o My sim is in the astronaut profession and has a rocket on the home lot so I don't know if previously having gone to space triggers it or just being involved in the profession... but let's…
  • It's amazing how much is in this game. Yeah Lilith is a teen. The whole thing reminded me of sims playing in the tub or on the couch. I do vaguely remember waiters doing that, I think it's due to a low skill level or their just clumsy. :)

I might have to honestly. The fix tech support gave me seems to…
  • Sadly I didn't get a free code, however Tech support was great and I got the game working again!
  • The thought of uninstalling to re-install makes me groan. So maybe I'll just contact EA
  • Bummer. I wonder if the problem is my CD, EA would consider giving me the TS2 UC are they still doing that if you provide proof of purchase?
  • No. I barely even played the last time it actually loaded properly. Maybe my CD just isn't functioning which would kind of suck
  • That is true, the reason I was bummed is that I managed to get him to complete his lifetime wish before dying so he had the cool tombstone. Thanks for the info!
  • Will do! I look forward to many reviews to see if a future purchase is even worth it - LGR's should be interesting to say the least :#
  • I agree with you both and thanks for the help! Not sure if it's worth it to update the video card just to have to purchase a new system once EA shoves a bunch of EP's our way. I'm perfectly content with the TS2 for the time being as it runs really well on my desktop (I've long ago given up on TS3) :)
  • Mine's more than a year old - I've got an Asus CM5570 with Windows 7
  • I've heard that as well but thought I'd give it a shot just to see what it would say
  • All I want to do is replay Bustin' Out :# Sadly, though I still have the disk, my PS2 no longer works :'( It was such a good game
  • I discovered this as well (I tried the Can You Run It website I saw on a pervious thread). At this point it appears I'm sticking to TS2 as I don't have the cash to burn on a new desktop
  • I was scared about this as well, seeing as I have an intergrated chip set (Intel G45/G43 Express Chipset) and the demo works well for me, aside from a little bit of rough edges on the Sims themselves. Apparently my issue is my CPU though, good thing I wasn't planning on buying right away come launch.
  • I noticed this too and hope this is the case. Maybe when the forum update is finished or when TS4 launches?
  • Despite the fact that I haven't fully explored everything in the Sims 3, it doesn't hold my attention long enough to even get out of CAS. I said goodbye a while ago and have since gone back to the Sims 2. No intention of buying TS4 on launch day though
  • So good to hear that you're enjoying the game Kovu! It's such an awesome part of the series. I too enjoy all that you've mentioned and hope that adding the custom content in only enhances the experience. ModtheSims has a lot of great things to choose from, so be sure to check that out! After a while downloading CC has…
  • I love that the Sims wave to one another or have some sort of reaction to passing sims. The one thing that makes the closed world a little more bearable is the amount of sims that come past the house. Gosh I can't get over how much I love this installment of the series
  • I wish that when the finally took down the Sims 2 website that they added a designated Sims 2 area to the current forms here. It would've given us all some place to continue our discussions. Though I like your idea and think that a surprising number of people would enjoy that. I love the Sims 2 - hardly ever play the Sims…
  • Hopefully he bares some kind of resemblence. I give it an A since my brother and mom were able to recognize him on spot but feel free to post feedback or comments.
  • Some of the choices don't bother me as much as others (toddlers and pools). However I understand people's concerns and think that while I love the demo and the Sims 2 vibe, it's definitely going to be a very different game from what we're used to. Not buying on September 2 - mostly because I'm away at school but fingers…
  • It's an fun little thing that definitely adds to the realism of the game! Not sure why they got rid of it with the Sims 3 and now 4 (though I do recall them saying there will be a gardener for public spaces)
  • Gardening comes with base game and is expanded upon with seasons. Basically with the basegame you have standard bushes, trees and flower beds. Trees dont have any special interactions until seasons (they can be struck by lightning and catch fire). Bushes need to be trimmed after a certain amount of time. Flowers need to be…
  • There are some good features that come with Bon Voyage. 1) Secret lots that you have to find the maps for (by Digging for Treasure). You can meet Big Foot, a Voodoo Witch Doctor, and a Monk/Martial Arts Dude. They each give you a task and if you complete it you get special rewards. 2) You can book a honeymoon which I think…
  • Witches were actually introduced in Apartment Life not Freetime as a simmer above said. Gotta say I absoluetly love the Sims 2. There's so much too it that you kinda forget about not having Cast. Plus there's plently out there to download to help with some of the miss-matching furniture (My one true complaint about the…
  • That's strange. I'm doing nothing different then the first time I uploaded the pictures. I don't have a photobucket account like others who post photos here. I was going through my gmail account (emailed myself the photos from iphoto). I think I'm just going to upload him to the gallery. So if you're curious you can always…
  • Hope the pictures appear this time. I agree - he's got a messy do that the none of the hair styles (in the demo at least) capture very well. Haven't seen a current picture of Butler but I'll take your word for it.
  • Oh I totally agree with you on that. One of the few men you can say that about. Still a work in progress but I'm liking him better the second time around: I definitely think the greying hair helps with the allusion since he doesn't dye it as often lately. Cannot figure out if I like the shadow or stubble better - not a…
  • I just saw them up on the gallery. I agree about the laugh lines for Ellen. I was fiddling with them before but they looked a little deep. On some sims it adds a couple years on. Demspey's hard lol. I'm still trying but I started from scratch this time and I think he looks a little better (jaw line and all). Thanks for…
