Adding links is something else you can't do as a new member... :P I can understand that (preventing spam and all), but no quotes is odd.

No, once you've bought the game, it's tied to your Origin account. You do have a refund option, though.

Awesome, thanks guys! Apparently I should be able to plant them directly on the ground though, there's even a screenshot of it, search for 'Carl's Sims 4 guide gardening'. It's one of the first results. (I can't post a link because my account's too new).
