Are your display drivers up to date? Is there anyway you can find the game options so that you can alter the screen size?

I don't think it does unfortunately. The way I hear it there isn't an autosave feature this time.

Your specs seem to be ok for running the game. I'd just recommend doing a clean install of the game itself. You saying it's specifically to do with control changes then there is probably a file that has been corrupted during install that won't read properly when the game tried to access it. Are you meeting the minimum requirements to run the game? Also I know a lot of people have had trouble allocating their video card to their game so I'd just advise you to make sure you're machine is set to use graphics from a dedicated graphics card rather than an onboard card. - Twiggers

Make sure you're installing it following recommended settings, turn off any background applications that you've got running other than those essentials. Also turn your Origin client to offline mode to prevent any lag. I'd make sure that your antivirus software is set so that it doesn't clash with the game .exe. - Twiggers

It sounds like a slight performance issue. You say you meet the requirements, but how well? As you may be just hitting low end specs. Also I'd recommend closing down any background applications that you don't need and setting your Origin client to offline mode before launching the game. Hope I've helped, - Twiggers

Make sure you haven't got anything running in the background that is unnecessary. Also, set your Origin to offline mode when you launch the game. A lot of people have been saying that doing that improves on lag issues majorly! - Twiggers

It sounds like you have a background task running that is minimising the game for you. Make sure before you launch the game that nothing is running in the background that you don't need. Sometimes automatic software updaters will bring you out of a game and then disappear. - Twiggers

Is your DVD drive reading other discs? Make sure your disc drive hasn't disabled itself by default.
