  • The difference is back then, the laws were different. Sims isn't just an American game. It's a world-wide game and they would lose their European customers if they put casinos in now.
  • I think most countries would label anything to do with casinos "R" these days. For instance, Nintendo removed the game corner in all it's Pokemon games. Anything to do with gambling on slot machines these days gets rated "R".
  • Werewolves would be great, but I don't think you'd get casinos, unless you want the rating pushed all the way up to R, which I for one wouldn't.
  • Things like that are better suited to modders than being implemented by the Sims team. This isn't the Sims 2 or 3. They'd have to rework every single neighbourhood. I'd much prefer a new pack with decent gameplay items and a new world. They don't have unlimited man power. I don't personally need cars to make the experience…
  • Walking is not the same as riding in a car. Cars need roads to drive on. Walking is the basic thing any game can do.
  • As far as I'm aware, sims should teleport to work just off the edge of the lot. And why do you have a vampire that burns in the sun working a day job in a lot other than Forgotten Hollow, anyway? You should always plan ahead before turning any sim you're gonna play into a vampire. And if all else fails, just reload your…
  • You've got Sims 2 for that. Sims 4 is it's own game. It's not going to function in the exact same way. If you look closely at the cars already "driving" on the roads, they're not routed to the roads per-se, but they're on a moving looping path. If you want a sim to walk to a certain spot where a bus appears and then have…
  • Sims don't just "poof" off the world. They walk to a designated teleport spot and then leave. Would you prefer something like the wormhole generator to show where the teleport spot is?
  • I think the problem is that many of us when we think cars think of their main function: driving from A to B on a given road. Everything else you don't really need a car for. Simmers can easily open up the map menu by pressing "m" or clicking the button. It's very easy to find cheap homes for sims with little cash (look up…
  • Would a car make sense in a City Living apartment or the sands of Sulani? No. It would take to much reworking of the game to create a Sims 2 or Sims 3 experience. Not every neighbourhood has roads. If all you want is a car that teleports away, I can understand that, but it would be quite a lot to rework existing…
  • A youtuber I watched said "Henford on Bagly" is a hint to Henry Ford on Bagley Street (I hope I spelled that correctly). But I still can't understand why people want cars. They're not going to open the worlds up Sims 3 style because the game engine is different and even bikes and boats make no sense in these smaller…
  • Going by other people's mentioned hints, I'm expecting to see a Celtic themed EP featuring werewolves sometime soon. I did originally think it was likely to be the June EP, but seeing how that's most likely Generations, I hope we can get it straight after. Edit: If Generations truly is a ways off, as you say, then I'm…
  • At this point, it seems like it HAS ended, due to them not giving us any real updates. rotfl :D
  • :D :D :D I'm SICK of all the Sims 5 propaganda. Just focus on fixing this game first. The previous games were so good and EA really needs to take a leaf out of their books and focus on giving us quality content, like they used to. To think "This is The Sims. Everyone's going to buy it no matter what," is very demeaning to…
  • Now, I know I have to be careful, but not EVERYONE comes from America. I'm Australian and probably most people I know would think of horses and ranches when they think of farming. Most of the folks I know live in the suburbs with me.
  • Now THAT is a pack I could get behind. Romance by itself is pretty much in every pack, but if we were to do a special pack dedicated to romance, it needs something else for spice, otherwise it may end up being a flop. I really like how they've tied islands with mermaids in the past. EA just needs to take the time to make a…
  • Werewolves seem to be the in-thing at the moment, with Australia recently releasing 100% Wolf. I've also just written my first novel about a werewolf guild in a fantasy land. Werewolves have always been a passion of mine, but not in the traditional horror sense. I want good werewolves who can be strong heroes.
  • We don't need a romance pack. We've already got a good enough romance system. Edit: I understand some of you need more romantic actions (I'm not sure I'd use it), but as a fantasy player, I feel we shouldn't focus on just ONE aspect. I really wish they hadn't ruined mermaids with no fully underwater lots and they STILL…
  • What if we're getting Scottish Highlands Werewolves AND Fairies? As much as I do want werewolves, I worry if werewolves on their own may not be up to the standard of Sims 4 Occults, though I could be wrong. It's just that if this is the theorised Medieval pack as well, then fairies would also make sense for it.
  • We already have a good romance system and plenty of romance items throughout most, if not all the packs. WHY do we need a romance pack or free babies, for that matter? We already have toddlers.
  • I'm excited if they're really doing werewolves, but I don't want to wait until the end of the year. Besides, I'm in the southern hemisphere, so Autumn/Winter (March-August) would do well for werewolves for me.
  • Personally, guys, I get that Sims 4 is closed world, due to what the system can handle, but I really want more exciting stories and fantasy content. The Star Wars GP feels like a step in the right direction to me, but it could have done with more family gameplay. I personally don't play multiplayer, but I agree that the…
  • Seeing how we already have the romantic garden pack, I feel like it's very likely they'll be working on WV for your winter holidays (my summer). What I really would like, though, is for a werewolf pack to come out. My PC is a bit too powerful for S3 now and I don't think I could squeeze any more playtime out of it. I've…
  • Also, the guy with the spider could be seen as a reference to some animal education feature of said school pack.
  • The safari guy is more Eco Living in my opinion, as spiders can be an environmental hazard. The owl speaks volumes of education.
  • I think Stranger Ville was that idea. Haven't played it, but like the concept, which could work for a heroes pack.
  • The cats are probably just a reference to Nifty Knitting (cats and yarn). The explorer with the spider seems more of an Eco Living reference, which makes me think with the naked gnome, the girl and the owl, that we're getting an open schools pack, which technically would be a MAJOR first (school majors, plus school has…
  • Sorry for the double post, but if they go for superhero school pack, then I could see that working.
  • I have a feeling, going by the hints in the 6 month overview image that the new GP is simply a new school mechanics pack. Not for me.
  • I've never actually cared for baby gameplay. I like toddlers and find them quite charming, but I've no need for playable babies. I'm not much one for the life simulation as I am for the storytelling elements. And with different occults having different babies needed, I just don't see them doing it. That's what I don't get:…
