Depends on which save I play. I have multiple saves with different age settings. My Main Family has long, so I can accomplish more and connect with them. Another is a short setting with a story of a vampire dad that only has human offspring and they all die before him. Quite sad for him actually :lol:

No, i most often have it off. I like controlling my sims and what they're doing. I once wanted to concentrate on one sim alone in a family of 8 so I put full autonomy on with selected sim off, and the other sims set the house ablaze... so I rather have it off completely :lol:

You can still see them in the family portrait for a while if they left. Unfortunately they're not permanently there as I thought it would be. I wish the game had an family tree like the PC games.

That's a serious issue. Have you got any backups? Are you sure you only moved your mods folder? Try to search in the search bar at the top right of your folder for the saves folder. It might turn up somewhere.
