Without reading the rest of the thread because it's so long my first and only negative thought so far was that they've once again split another pet feature off into it's own pack. Because right now what we've got in the way of animals off the top of my head is; -Cats and Dogs -My first pet stuff -Country living and now…
I've had this issue too. I discovered that if they get the negative moodlets but the traits aren't there I can cheat the traits on for them and then remove them with the potion but that's so frustrating. I shouldn't have to do that. I just wanted fears to be the same as they were in TS2 where they got the fear and if it…
Ok so at first I thought the new fears and wants system would be good. I didn't like that I couldn't dismiss the wants but I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and play with it on anyway. Now I just think it's broken. My sim keeps getting the same two fears. Fear of their partner cheating on them which is silly…
I've been playing since the Sims 1. By the time I purchased TS1 I think TS2 was already released because I saw promotion for it inside the cover of my TS1 games. But I couldn't afford to get TS2 yet so I just mainly played the original until people were selling second hand copies of TS2.
I'm not really surprised the wants/fears system is buggy. I haven't tried it out yet but I know it's going to annoy me that I can't cancel them. That seems a bit of a weird choice since we've always been able to cancel wants we didn't want.
in one of my save files I edited him so he could get pregnant and he was pregnant many times. It was my goal with my player sim to have as many kids as possible, so any male townies in her immediate vicinity got edited to be able to get pregnant. Arun and Jasmine Bheeda were her neighbours and also had children by her. :D
Probably would need some tweaking but I think it could work. I assume selecting poly vs monogamous sims would be something like selecting gender preferences etc. Just a subheading under marriage which should include stuff like: Men, Women, Both. And then either selecting how many sims this sim can be in a relationship with…
Not sure how it works but I think you can uninstall or deactivate individual packs somehow. Have you tried uninstalling the wedding pack and seeing if that fixes the issue? Edit: Oops didn't mean to double post. Have been using a lot of other different social media lately so forgot I was on a forum. My bad.
Out of curiosity, if in real life you purchased a really nice cake for yourself, I'm talking fully decorated and delicious. And the caterer sent you a box of cake mix covered in frosting with some sprinkles on it, would you say "there is so much to enjoy even without having any actual cake and I'm sure the caterer will…
I'm actually interested to see if there's been any bug fixes to the pack after release. By the time I wake up tomorrow it should have been out for a fair few hours so expecting to see more commentary about the state of the pack.
Hope I'm not too late. I got Vintage You prefer the more rustic and barnyard feel for your big day. We suggest renting an industrial or barn venue, and hanging fairy lights across the ceiling. Now just go find the person of your dreams! This quiz got me pretty good. I'm all about the rustic boho type stuff
Dine out has been broken for me for a while. I understand from what others have said that you can avoid some issues by using prebuilt stuff. But if that's the case why do I even have an option to build my own stuff at all? I know they can't stop making content to focus on fixing this broken game but maybe they should hire…
I really liked the active careers this pack had when it was first released. But at some point a few years back the careers got broken and I stopped playing with them. I don't know if they've been fixed but if they haven't been fixed yet I'd say you might regret it because those active careers were the big selling point.
I'm interpreting this to mean "would I be ok if they removed buggy features from the game if it made the game playable again" - if that's the case then no I wouldn't. I paid for the content it's on them to make sure it works properly.
I plan on purchasing after release. I purchased TS4 too early and was disappointed by the base game. When new expansions were added I had some hope but as more get added I find that features I really enjoyed keep ending up broken and take a long time to fix or don't get fixed at all. The new build mode features were good…
I'm all for band content but if they do put it in I hope they flesh it out enough to justify putting it in a pack instead of in a free update. I say this because in Sims 2 playing music as a group was a feature of university I think, and band stuff could really be a feature that would have fit with the university EP or the…
somehow I feel that by "strong year" they just mean financially, I don't think this statement has much to do with content. It's all about the sales they can make. Which is on brand for EA
This comment isn't really about the pack as much as it is the gameplay trailer, I'm so tired of these cringe voiceovers for the gameplay trailers. It really peaked for me with the childish "yay" sound effect that played when the surge emotion thing popped up. Felt like I was watching a kids show for a second there. Edit:…
This is like the other side of the whole "don't like it don't buy it" argument. So basically if you don't like it you shouldn't buy it but if you did buy it don't ever criticise it, but also don't criticise it unless you play it. That seems to be the general feeling I get from these types of comments. The fact remains that…
I see your point but I do think they should at least slow down on the new releases a little bit to allow those qualified to do the bug work to fix stuff without adding more work to their pile. The problem with the amount of releases right now is they've got an awful lot of catch up on their plates. Maybe if they brought it…
I do think that while yes gaining new players/growing your consumer base is a great idea. I feel they probably should polish up the rest of the game before they go expanding their base. Not because "oh but we were here first", but just from a business standpoint it doesn't seem like a good move to market your game to a new…
