They've enabled autonomy for knitting and cross-stitching as club activities (just in the recent patch), so I don't see why they couldn't do it for nectar-making as well. Fingers crossed they add this in with a future patch, because it feels like a mistake more than anything. Horse-riding I've realized would be a bit more…
Two new skills (riding and nectar making were added in Horse Ranch, but zero new club activities were added with the pack. This feels inconsistent and disappointing, but would love to see them added in a patch. New activities are added with just about every pack, so this feels like an oversight.
You make a good point regarding the riding club concept. I hadn't considered the complications of a riding activity requiring horses as club members. That is a fairly reasonable explanation and I can see why they would have chosen to avoid those complications. But yeah, with nectar making, I just don't get it. They've…
Eco Footprints breaking some players saves would be a quality assurance/playtesting issue (I didn't know this happened bc my saves were fine). It easily could have not/should have not happened (clearly, because they were able to quickly fix it). Potential bugs/game breaking from poorly tested rollouts aren't a good excuse.…
I feel that. Especially because Snowy Escape in particular is almost ENTIRELY tied to Mt. Komerbi. At least world exclusive gameplay was more limited in CL and EL. They both expanded gameplay in all worlds significantly more than Snowy Escape. Generations or Hotels (really any pack without a new world) is what I'm…
Agree. I am SO ready for another GOOD occult pack. RoM wasn't what is could have been for me. Spellcasters/witches/wizards are my favorite occult type, but RoM was by far one of my biggest letdowns. I like parts of it, but overall it didn't have the wow factor for me. So I'd love a werewolf pack up to the standard of…
Yeah. 100%. And they also added the entire Sims Sessions festival into a world, which even required the (temporary?) removal of several trees. No saves broke. Amazing what they're suddenly able to do when a (presumably) million-dollar marketing scheme is involved (entering a paid partnership with celebrities to attract…
Hmm, that's interesting. I don't remember this. Either way, that's just another PR excuse. Anything added to the game without optimization can break saves. The Edit Town tool was patched in the Sims 3 and could have broken saves, just like any update or addition. EA loves to throw excuses at us. It was initially said it…
Yeah. Create a world (CAW) for the Sims 3 was a separate application. I used it a fair amount. It was rough. I'm actually not that interested in CAW for the Sims 4 at this point, just an Edit Town Tool. I'm also only somewhat interested in custom lot placement, as I doubt it will be added considering it would require two…
I'm not talking about Building Worlds (CAW), I am talking about an Edit Town tool. CAW was frustrating even for advanced players. The edit town tools in the Sims 2 and 3 were streamlined and functioned well.
Yeah, I definitely don't expect CAW. It would just be nice to get the in-game Edit Town tool back as it was in the Sims 3 so we can at least edit minor visual details of the world like trees and decor pieces.
TBH this would be my preferred introduction for horses in the Sims 4. A medieval pack is dang near my number one desire for a pack at this point, and you're right, horses would fit in perfectly with one.
Was it added with DHD? I didn't even know Dream Home Decorator came with a radio station or station update. I could be wrong. I'll have to double-check on that.
Any of those three would be fantastic! I was initially inclined to think it could be Central or South American themed based on the design of the horse pattern (although seemingly it also resembles a traditional Swedish style). The question is, why would a typical American country singer like Caylee be tapped for a…
I think Australia could be one alternative. It parallels some of the Americana visual aesthetic and has a strong country music scene. However, it lacks the cultural power of American cowboys and the Kentucky Derby, both of which make Americana a great choice for horses. Heck, even Queen Elizabeth has traveled to the US to…
I think if we were to build a player-made shed around the sized-down shed object this could be remedied. I imagine the cow will [probably] be disappearing into a black hole anyway. If the player-built shed is big enough then the disappearing animation could be entirely masked by the structure. So even if the cow…
That would suck. Although I feel like the cows/llamas would probably stay their original size even with a sized down shed. I have no concrete reasoning for that, just a hunch. You could totally be right about it. We'll just have to wait and see
This 100%!!! I think this would be as good a time as any to update Plant Sims in a base game patch, and the team is certainly aware that the community wants them updated. I did think the one dude with the green hair and orange skin (let's call him carrot dude) that was present at the produce judging festival was a bit…
They definitely listen to the community as a whole, and I know some of the gurus and dev team look through the forums routinely for feedback/ideas. But often it's just a lot easier to get the dev team's attention when Game Changers (and their audiences) raise a concern.
Ahhh, you make a good point there. I suspect it will probably come down to that in that end, as I'm not super confident that the team will address the black hole before release.
I completely agree with you on that. They try here and there, mostly just adding new skill-related activities when a new pack comes out, but these additions feel half-baked and buggy as of late.
Yeah, sadly I think you're right about this needing Game Changer voices behind it. That's partially why I made this thread though. I don't really use Twitter, so I was hoping that if I could get enough Simmers talking about it that it would eventually make its way to some of the more prominent community voices and…
