  • Whining about going to bed--and then walking so slowly that their energy meter bottoms out on the way to the bed, 10 feet away. When another sim calls and asks you out on a date, then leaves ten minutes later because they have to be at work right now.
  • There's a new chapter up! Hunter tells the kids which one has been chosen as the heir, but how will they react to the news? And will it change how other people treat them? 3.4 Fill the World with Sunshine
  • I think it's cute! I'd love to have more things in my sims' garden and there are some fun items. I'm the most excited to get the fountain (which you can put soap bubbles in, just like University) and the wishing well. I love the shot of the kids playing in the fountain, too, so it's got more uses than just romantic stuff.…
  • Thanks to everyone who voted! The heir poll is now closed.
  • I also have to take breaks and stretch or massage my hands when I spend too much time working on something. I have to remember that I can't work forever and sometimes I just need to stop for the day. And I always have unfinished projects. I have so many ideas, but only so many hours in the day. Right now I'm making a "Jane…
  • BB-8, Wall-E, Johnny 5... I like the cute ones. And GladOS.
  • I'm doing something new for the first time. I'm running an heir poll to let people vote for the next one. I've been wanting to do this from the start of the legacy, but I was afraid that I didn't have enough readers to actually get anyone to vote, so I chose randomly. I'm interested to see who will be chosen because I…
  • I'll definitely miss Mickey, too. :( Who knew that I could learn to love a Mean sim? The next chapter is a happier one (meaning no one dies!). Chapter 3.3: Doing the Impossible I'm also running a poll to determine the next generation's heir! Vote now for your favorite! I'll take it down in one week, so you have until next…
  • LOL. Wow. That's a lot more deaths than I've ever had. I did have a sim die at a wedding. It was the Mixologist, and he died of old age. Totally ruined my wedding. Another weird thing is that after one of my sims died, his ghost texted his daughter and said, "I'm sorry for your loss." One of my sims caught her husband…
  • I love this deal. When I heard about it, I immediately went to Amazon to see what new games were coming out, and ended up preordering three of them. Even some of them collector's editions are 20% off--for one of the games I want, the collector's edition is the same price as the undiscounted normal edition! There's no new…
  • Wow, that's a new one for me! I do love all of the weird random things that can happen at school and work.
  • I'm definitely attached to my sims. I hate it when they die. When I know one of my elders is getting close to the end, then it makes me reluctant to play, because I'm dreading when it happens.
  • A new chapter! A bittersweet time as I got some fun new family members, but also lost one: 3.2 The Greatest Moments
  • I had all four of mine out in my late twenties. The dentist was surprised that mine hadn't grown out sooner. It hurt more before I had them out because it took a few months for me to save up for the procedure. :( I had to do a lot of rinses to keep my gums from getting infected. For the procedure itself, I was freaked out…
  • My fourth gen kids are starting to hit their teens, although the youngest just aged up to child. It's an exciting time because I like finding out what their adult aspirations are going to be.
  • My old desktop was called "The Library" because I love books and bonus Whovian reference. My laptop is called "Thingamabob" and it has an Ariel decal on it. I haven't actually named my phone in a while. I used to call it "Ushagi" after the floating bunny messenger in Wish. My current one is sort of nicknamed Violet because…
  • Nothing gives me "the feels" like a good JRPG. Disgaea, Final Fantasy, Persona/Shin Megami Tensei--these series have all given me very sad stories. I think the ones that made me cry the most were Disgaea 2 (with Rozalin) and Final Fantasy X (with Tidus/Yuna). (IMO FFX-2 shouldn't exist. Don't give us the heart-rending…
  • I have this glitch, too. I just think it's funny when I watch them eat. I say that they all turned into judges on the show Chopped (many of whom complain that food is too spicy). "Oh, no, this grilled cheese sandwich is too hot!"
  • I'm a woman who plays The Sims. Both of my kids used to play when they were younger and so did a lot of their friends, but I think most of them grew out of it in their later teens. My daughter doesn't play many games now except the occasional Mario Kart when she joins the family. My son, on the other hand, probably plays…
  • @emaalee @Hemera123 Thanks for reading! It was rough playing through some of those days when all of my sims were constantly sad and things were going wrong. At least it makes for an interesting story. But I do hope things turn around and get better for the family. It's interesting how you can sometimes find out traits for…
  • @mastressalita Thank you for featuring me! Wow, I didn't realize just how many Disney-themed stories there were in the Sim community. I'll have to check out the others you've featured. :)
  • My favorite was Clarissa Explains It All.
  • I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt. :( Cancer is awful and unfortunately, it can bring a lot of secondary health issues with it. I would hate to have that choice. I'm terrified of going blind now. I had laser eye surgery last year (which corrected my vision, so it was good in the long run) and I couldn't see very well…
  • Chapter 3.1 is available. Hunter's the heir and planning her dream wedding, but when everything seems to go wrong at once, she wonders if there could be a curse on the family: 3.1 The Wilderness Instinct
  • If my sims retire depends on what they want. Most of them retire as soon as they hit elder. But sometimes a sim really likes their job, or is still working on their lifetime wish. (It's really hard to complete promotions on a mom who stayed home for a lot of pregnancies. :( ) In that case, they won't retire. I would like…
  • If they added romantic content to the game for kids, I wouldn't use it. There's plenty of time for that when they become teens. I like having kids being friends and playing together, and I like all of the options I got for that with the new clubs system. It's a lot of fun to start a gathering and have my kids go to the…
  • I leave my Origin client logged in so if I go somewhere, I can take the game offline and still play. It's not perfect but it works.
  • Dogmeat. Dogmeat in armor by Kristen, on Flickr
  • I have a Google Play subscription. I like that I can add my own music if they're missing something I like, I can download songs to my phone for offline use, and no ads.
