I would just like to bump this idea because I have stopped sending my sims to nightclubs out of frustration. When the game was first released the default attire for nightclubs was party...not everyday. With the release of Get Together, that option disappeared and has still not been fixed in a patch. I am having the same issue. I downloaded a brother and sister from a simguru's community page and brought them into cas to add a wife and child for the male. I don't have an answer for you but I wanted to say that I am having the same problem. It just took me over 10 minutes to download one shirt. I'm afraid to even try downloading Barnacle Bay or Riverview. Does anyone know of anything to do to fix this?

I just had the same problem and found in another thread that having a Sims disc in your disc drive can cause this problem. I had one in there from doing a reinstall and when I took it out I could download items from the store again.

I ended up just making my own movie lot with the Plumbob Studio building in edit town/build mode/community objects. It's not as pretty as the lot that came with the game but it works. Hope that helps.

Doh! Thank you two for letting me know! I couldn't find anything about it in any of the guides I was looking at. Maybe it'll get patched soon. While it is an easier way of making the money, it'd be more novel if the store worked for the new careers. X)

Hm, I just noticed there is a pink heart-shaped gem on the bottom of the list in my consignment store. I don't know if that's what's required for the invention or not because I haven't gotten that far. But maybe check the consignment store?

I have the emails and there isn't a code of any sort in them. There is nothing under my purchase history on my ea account site. I looked both of those places before coming here.

It's not the account. It's telling me my IP is banned whenever I go to the site, logged in or not. I've had the same problem and posted to the forums about it a few times but never got any reply to those. So I've just accepted that I'm not going to be able to upload lots, just sims. Sorry that doesn't really help, just wanted to let you know it's not just you.

Sounds like exactly what just happened to me, and searching for a solution brought me here. I was trying to save a household before going into edit town and the game crashes. I start it up, and the neighborhood isn't playable, and has a name I don't recognize beside it as the active family.

You know, I'm thinking that's it. So right now I'm throwing parties at all of the possible party destinations, and then I'll play at more house parties if that doesn't cut it.
