You can use MC command centre to pull townies from your library. It's not perfect but at least they have appropriate outfits and I like seeing some of my past sims walking around!

I would love the military career back, but as a "City Living" style active career not a "Get to work" style one. I don't like that you have to follow your sims to work for them to get promotions. As I generally play with big families, I rarely play the Get to Work careers, because it limits my time with all my sims.

I will admit my own is a sort of Whim challenge, sometimes they do as I want and sometimes they do and they want. Depending on how boring I find their whims. And they rarely get toddler whims. My toddler gets lots of whims for tantrums, so that is fun!
