I actually really like the idea of a swimsuit kit, we haven't got new ones in awhile. Would have expected to get it before the end of summer but our Sims don't care. ;) The build kit isn't very exciting to me though, looks very similar to stuff we already have.
I've missed the livestream cause I had a birthday to celebrate (which is almost over...), but it sounds like we've already seen everything this pack has to offer from the get-go and it's not a lot, especially for an EP.
I kinda went back and checked some. Only Strangerville had a male Sim (Erwin Pries) talking. Realm of Magic had Morgyn Ember who is non-binary. Growing Together, Get Famous, Jungle Adventures and Vampires have a male narrator who's not an actual Sim, and Cottage Living had a male... llama.
The pre-order items are always build objects and since I'm not a builder I can live without, I mainly download lots from the gallery anyway. Now if the pre-order items were CAS assets it would have been a different story, but I get why they don't make them CAS assets cause objetcs are pretty interchangeable, CAS assets…
In terms of appearances, I feel like I used to make different looking Sims, then started making most of them looking a bit similar but lately gone back to giving them more distinct features. In terms of gameplay, I always try giving my Sims different traits, aspirations and stories. Whenever I make groups of roommates I…
I do hope they understand how lore is important to many people. I used to be really interested in Sims 2 and Sims 3 lore (mainly 2 cause it was much deeper) but in Sims 4 I barely follow cause the stories are very shallow in comparison.
The whole video I thought 'I feel like I'm not the demographic for this anymore...' until with got to the Calientes and they showed some Sims 2. Not too fond of the clone idea either, wish they'd just be transparent 'we changed her name because of the in-game censors'.
I know it's still super early for this project but I reaaaally hope Sims won't stay in this art style. It still feels very cartoony and the hair looks like Sims 4 base game hair so I hope it's all a prototype that isn't going to stay when the game comes out.
The Behind The Sims today didn't make me feel any better about this pack. They basically laid it out that this main content of this pack is horses, mini goats/sheep and nectar making... I don't expect a lot more except some minor things.
As I said in another thread, CAS will fit very well with Cottage Living and ESPECIALLY Strangerville which also went down the American country vibe. One of the tops reminds me of Goopy GilsCarbo from The Sims 2 and I'm kinda hoping he'll be in the new world just because of that. Not a big build mode fan but I can also see…
^This Sims 4 packs are a lot smaller than Sims 2 and 3 were so they usually show about 95% of the pack in the trailers cause there's only so much content included and they don't want to hide anything major. Of course with a lot of staging and no glitches showing, but content-wise I already know there's not a lot we haven't…
I do think nectar making would have fit better in My Wedding Stories or even Dine Out. Very random decision to add it here. As much as I know people enjoy having new worlds in packs, it really does feel like they take way too many resources from packs in the Sims 4 (didn't take as much in Sims 2 and 3 cause both games had…
They surprisingly didn't show the horses themselves as much as I expected, the mini-animals took way more screentime than they should have for a pack called 'horse ranch'. I'm very unimpressed, it really does feel like 'here's a 1/3 of Sims 3 Pets with one skill from World Adventures, enjoy.'
My main gripe is as usual, a full EP from Sims 3 split into three (or more cause we still don't have pet birds). People say 'I'd rather have horses be more fleshed out' but horses were actually implemented pretty well in Sims 3 and were still in the same pack as cats, dogs, rodents and other small pets. I do get why it's…
Okay the songs chosen are actually pretty interesting. Other than one of them, all of the are from Sims 2, the first, third and fourth are actually from the Hip Hop category, the next four are the slow DJ booth songs and the last three are from Sims 2's actual R&B category (Love of Mine is my favorite so I'm glad it's…
So it was all true, I'm a bit excited but still pretty sad we need to have cats+dogs, horses and rodents in separate when Sims 3 had them all in one pack. Also I'm sick of kits.
