I got tired of telling people it was a fake, and a rather obvious one, yet people still fall for it. I have no doubt there will be a Sims 4 eventually but EA has never made any announcement to that effect yet.

Um 8 years? Sims 3 has only been in existence for a little over 3 years. (Unless you're counting Sims 2 and/or Sims 1 I suppose.) I've had exactly the opposite happen once; I got a message claiming the baby got fat immediately after she was born. Funny thing is that baby is a young adult and quite on the thin side, like her mother. (Her brother is quite fat and takes after his father.)

To be fair, the thing with insects is not really a bug per se; it's because Pets spawns new rodents, snakes, lizards, birds, etc. and these spawns compete with beetles and butterflies now. Not necessary. You just have to form a band, then you can go to city hall and register as being self-employed in a band (presuming you have both Ambitions and Late Night). To form a band, your sim must be: At least a young adult Have at least 1 point of skill in any instrument (guitar, drums, bass, or piano) Friends with…

No; to be self-employed in a band requires that you have both Ambitions and Late Night. (You can of course, independently make a living playing your guitar; you just won't get official recognition for being self-employed.)

It's Bridgeport that's giving the problem, not your sim's age. There's a bug that prevents you from being able to get the simbot opportunity in Bridgeport. As far as I know you can only have body hair on male sims that are young adult or older. Body hair was added in Generations, but it was patched in so you can get it even if you don't have Generations. Can't get it on teens though; not til young adult. There is no compatibility issues with Pets at all that I know of.

Yes; in order to do laundry on your home lot, you need at least one laundry hamper, a washer, and a dryer.
