Please bear in mind that even if TS4 is doing appallingly, they'll already be working on the first EP, which I guess based on TS3 will be out in six months. Will that redeem the series? This is why 'Pirates and Nobles' succeeded 'Sims: Medieval', even though it got a very hostile reception at the time. No more EPs followed…
OK, I'm coming down on the side of satire. Why fuss about specifics; I'm just glad they got rid of so much of everything. It was only causing lag anyway. "The engine couldn't handle it", whatever it was.
You can tell how much of a plum the OP gave about toddlers: he spelled it "tolders" in his first post. So cool to ask a question about a play style he obviously couldn't give one about, then berate family players for answering him.
Honestly? It looks like desperate firefighting - and too plum late too. Our confidence is already so shattered that it's now hard to trust anything we're told anyway. Just sayin'.
I'm sure some of us have tried out the Asylum challenge - I was surprised how well the usually inert TS3 sims coped with only minimal guidance from the one playable character the challenge rules permitted.
I remember TS3's ice cream truck that used to stalk my sims from lot to lot until the wee hours of the morning. They were never at risk of going hungry, that was for sure..!
We did have Vain sims in TS3 - and their mirror interactons were pretty similar. Certainly, TS4's trait list needs expansion. Let's see what the next EP holds, eh?
They didn't have time because they wasted two years trying to make TS4 an MMO and EA wouldn't heed fan petitions release be delayed so we at least got a finished game when it came out.
I agree with @bobyo2001, EA's 'don't improve, remove' approach is inexcusable - as is their insistence on releasing games to meet deadlines whether they are complete or not. TS4 is missing so many features just because the devs weren't given time to put them in, not because they thought such omission "would make the game…
People aren't finding TS4's base game particularly empty? They should, when the devs themselves admit ("we didn't have tine") that it's an unfinished game.
Pretty sure it's marketed at YAs - certainly not at older players with families, as family play is gutted and may prove impossible if what LGR found about how fast save files corrupt is true. I agree with hubby that lurid colours and cartoony art style aren't to my taste either - because the look like cheap, knock-off MMO…
Isn't this some kind of virtual s.e.x trafficking between guru Lyndey and Dagda? Can't poor Luchadore escape this shocking exploitation to a refuge somewhere?
Weren't their reports in the Tech Support thread about sims going off to work and never coming back too? And not just the Secret Agents! One more to add to EA's 'to do' list.. :-0
🐸🐸🐸🐸, @MsPhy - that wasn't you? And I thought you sounded kinda hot too, TBH  (Seriously, I'm sure you're a lovely person and identity theft, even on gaming boards, is unconscionable.) Edit: 'Plum' = '🐸🐸🐸🐸.', like we still like in the 1930s or something..
@Jadedsims: Yeah, thanks for your suggestion, "trollish" or otherwise. I'll definitely ignore you from now on. Pretty sure it'll start a trend. So much said, but with so little to say..
I can assure you, as I did the OP, that I read just fine but do have a problem with your poor manners. Don't tell me in your frankly pathetic passive/aggressive manner that I'm a liar, a hater, "delusional" and--even more remarkably--a puppy-beater just because I disagree with you. And at such shrill volume and tiresome…
EA is the biggest gaming company in the world. They have a huge range of titles they use to finance new projects from. The Sims series was used to help start up some, in fact. You think the same won't apply for any future TS5? It doesn't have to be funded from TS4's profits, if any. This is another reason why the…
I never said that TS4 is the fans fault. I'm just calling out childish, illogical, and delusional behavior as it should be called out. [/quote] || END QUOTE Actually, it was yours that I was calling out. Pay attention and you might actually learn something. And, @Sk8rblaze, I agree with you about the Store scam. I was one…
Yes, I was thinking @Jadedsins missed his/her vocation as a diplomat too :) Would sooner blame fans for TS4's failure than it's manufacturers. It's magical thinking to blame their 'ill-wishing' not it's incompleteness and brokenness, both the manufacturer's responsibility. Actually, SimGuruGrant seems to be thinking in…
