  • Hm... I wonder if they'll focus purely on just magic in spell-form. I mean wouldn't potions and elixirs be kind of redundant? A Sim that's completed the Mixology Aspiration can create the mood potions at a bar, so that's one type of possibility that wouldn't need repeating. And of course there are others for sale in the…
  • Try placing flooring temporarily. You should be able to clean the stain once it's on flooring, rather than natural ground.
  • I haven't heard of Mermaids being able to directly turn an ordinary Sim into a Mermaid themselves. I thought that was just how Vampires did it. To turn a Sim into a Mermaid you have to eat a special item called "Mermadic Kelp". This gives a 24 hour Energized moodlet and if that Sim enters the ocean during that time they…
  • Kinda makes me wonder about the possibility of Sims 4 spin-offs in the same vein as the Sims Stories side-series or Sims Medieval. Like a Sims Medieval 2 but being based on Sims 4's engine, like how Sims Medieval used Sims 3's.
  • Open Neighborhood still sounds nice, to me. They could even do some processing-saving measures, like not making the insides of neighbor's houses fully detailed until you visit them. Kinda like... okay, you know how when you visit a neighbor, you can't fully see the inside of their house until you actually knock on their…
  • From clicking on the Play button to being able to play as my household it was juuuuust under 10 seconds of loading screen. In case it matters, this was a Single-Sim Household loading in during sleeptime-ultraspeed in a small apartment in San Myshuno. No CC/Mods either, if that also matters.
  • Speaking of details, has anyone tried making their Sim change their outfit while swimming? They do a sort of rolling dive, kind of like how it looks like when a mermaid walks into the ocean from the beach. I don't remember making my Sims change clothes while swimming before, but I feel like this was a change from the…
  • I like Homey, Bracing Breezes, Sunny Aspect, Good Soil, and Party Place. And though they're locked to certain lots, special mention to Quiet and Serviced Apartment apartment traits.
  • Unfortunately, I can't really relate to the sentiment... For a couple reasons: 1) I don't like how the game generates random townies. I thought they balanced out the RNG name generation, but I'm still seeing tons of unrelated Sims with the same last name. Like the sample size isn't THAT big, how are there this many of the…
  • It'd be nice to see the Pet's Needs gauges and see how long a walk actually NEEDS to take. I usually just use pet-walking to top off a Sim's Fun need, since just the act of moving somewhere while you have your pet on a leash gives some Fun. Even if you're "walking" the dog from one side of your house to the other, lol.
  • I wish that photography didn't make an image file every time you took a picture. I mean, if I wanted a screenshot, there's a screenshot button. And when I'm taking pictures, it's either to make some pocket change, or to decorate with the picture in item form. I like to keep my image folder organized and clutter-free so I…

  • Probably the Mixologist branch of the Chef career. If not for the Snaggle Fluster drink recipe, then for the ability to complete both the Cooking and Mixology Aspirations.
  • Does it... "feel" like the same Sim? I mean, if it was a Sim from Sims 3 coming to Sims 4, it'd depend on the traits. Not just going from 5 traits to 3, some traits didn't have direct translations in the Sims 4. At least if you were to go from Sims 3 with all expansions to the brand-spankin'-new Sims 4 base game, then…
  • Raise prices to give us exactly what we want? No... Not just because that's not how it works, but because I definitely wouldn't want this game's price to go up even more. If anything they could benefit from a permanent 50% price slash. One day, after Sims 4 is all complete and no longer being updated, I hope they give it…
  • I don't really feel like drowning any Sims right now, but what happens? Like normally drowning happens when a Sim's Energy need hits 0 while swimming, yeah? But what happens in the case of children now? Do they just get forced to swim to dry land before passing out?
  • Hm... what is there the most of by default? I don't really have anything replaced from what's already in the worlds by default. And my Newcrest has about 1 of each of a bar, pool, park, and museum. I'm guessing there are a lot of bars, so I'll just say that.
  • According to the Notebook, Angelfish is caught with "Organic" bait, I caught one using Garlic, but the icon for "organic" is a carrot, so maybe it's all Vegetables. I caught one in a pond in the northwest neighborhood of Newcrest.
  • It might be a side effect of a change they made. I think there was an issue of Sims standing around at the Starlight Accolades, so they patched in a change to make Sims sit during the ceremony. And... maybe it was too strong of a change and it made them want to sit with too high of a priority, so they're sitting on their…
  • I wish that the game didn't auto-assign jobless premades to service positions. I don't want to see Bella Goth bartending and I don't want Lilith Vatore to be a food stall vendor. Those would be jobs tailor-fit for random townies, after all. They don't have any story, so give them some semblance of one by assigning them to…
  • I liked the hidden "Mooch" skill. The higher it was, the better you were at mooching, and the more powerful type of mooching interactions you could do! It was still hard to make a living mooching, but having lots of wealthy friends and a high Mooching level ended up making you pretty successful. It reminds me of the…
  • Clothing, hair, and makeup are the best things to change for a townie, considering the game itself loves to randomly assign the worst of all three things.
  • Off here, I just control aging manually by throwing birthday parties whenever I want to age up a Sim. Or just bake a cake and put candles on it, if I'm in a hurry. Townies don't really come into play for my families, so I don't bother aging townies. Unless it's something like a schoolmate I want to keep in line with one of…
  • Being able to choose "Jog Here" instead of "Walk Here" is related to the fitness skill. I think it's unlocked at level 2 Fitness. And it's only able to be picked if the point you're walking to isn't too close. If you click too closeby your only option will still be "Walk here".
  • Ctrl+Shift+C Enter into console:traits.Equip_Trait SexyLinda Now you can easily make your whole household Sexy Linda.
  • I do wish there was a way to go back a page of interactions, for when you have a huge amount of them and you accidentally overshoot the one you wanted while clicking the "More" button.
  • A skill, as it'd make it easier for inter-pack compatability. Vampire Witches! Alien Warlocks! PlantSim Sorcerers! Mermaid Sorceresses! If it's a Life State, then unless they magically (jokes) add in Hybridization with Occults to allow other life states to be Witches/Warlocks then I won't be fully satisfied.
  • Well the answer is actually an offshoot of B. You can only "Identify" unidentified plants. That is the plants that are only found growing in Granite Falls, stuff like "Elderberry" and "Chamomile". If you haven't identified them before, they'll show up in your inventory as "Unidentified Plant". Strawberry and Snapdragon are…
  • I think Carl's Sims Guides' review of Island Living gives some insight on this. It definitely feels lacking in actual game-changing gameplay. Cool animations and more moodlets aren't game-changing. Mermaids have no progression system. Go from freshly-made human Sim, gain 500 aspiration points and buy some Mermadic Kelp,…
  • I mean 8 is fine if there aren't too many babies, toddlers, or pets who can't really care for themselves. But as for households that are families with kids, rather than just a bunch of adults who are roommates, I usually play 4~5, though the one I'm playing now is 6 (and almost 7). Autonomy is helpful, though it's still up…
