Sorry to necro this thread but I was having this problem too. Sim A received the opportunity but I had Sim B bake the cookies since they were the much better cook. Long story short, The Sim that receives the op must also prepare the item, at least in my experience.

My wife died, she was a beast of a worker, never tired or hungry. I bring her back through science, ghost fiance, now she's always running low on all needs. I bought her iron bladder, so that helps a little. Can I do anything to restore her virility and keep her a ghost?
