Sounds like you might have some mods installed, such as the facial slider hack or awesome mod. Seconded. I feel like the 3x time on TS2 went -much- faster, and would like to see a return to that. Post Edit: D'oh, talk about redundancy, I just repeated you. ^_^ But watching the clock in TS3 compared to TS2, the time is actually slower. The minutes don't click by as quickly.

Use your arrow keys, or go to game options and turn Edge Scrolling on to make it behave like TS2. Also, you can hold down the right mouse button and zip around.

You cannot see inside of community lots such as restaurants, stadiums, shops, business etc in this game. The only lots you -can- see inside of are things like The gym, the library and the art gallery. It's simply how the game is. :(

Go into your game options and turn "Edge Scrolling" on. This will allow it to pan around like ts2 when your cursor touches the edge of the frame.

Nope. You cannot create your own neighbourhoods. You can make community lots for the neighbourhood. (Gym, Library, Art Gallery - The ones you can actually go into) but that's about it.
