  • Also a bump on this one. I fully agree that the custom content the mod community graciously slaves over is really what keeps long term playability of these games up. I can say for a fact that my decisions in the past to buy EPs were greatly influenced by custom content requiring EPs. I feel that the mod community is a…
  • Something quick to try (no guarantees, but it helped me in the past): I used to get this problem before I upgraded my machine with more RAM. I found I got this error far less often if I firstly deleted the cache files before playing, and secondly, made sure I was not logged in while playing the game. You can find the cache…
  • I respectfully disagree. If this EP physically requires a more powerful machine to even run it, then that should have been listed in the basic system requirements on the packaging. Since it was not, then the game that was released should have to be compatible with what is listed in the system requirements. Blaming the end…
  • Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I don't think either of these links help in my circumstance, as I do not have any expansion packs, and my trouble is with the Sims 3 base game. Thank you again though. :) (P.S. My mistake. I see it's not just for expansion packs now. I'll look into it. AGAIN. *mild stabbity of…
  • I'm in the same boat as you on this one I think. I too had no problems installing the game and running it for a few days, but this last patch totally boned everything and it now randomly crashes during gameplay on an unpredictable schedule. Frankly, I'm really getting tired of it being a constant uphill struggle full of…
  • Sounds like you might have some mods installed, such as the facial slider hack or awesome mod. If you do, remove them from your mods/packages folder as they have not yet been updated for the new patch. Awesomemod has an updated version that you will need to re-download, but Delphy's Facial Slider Hack is not yet updated.…
  • P.S. You can do this. When playing to family you have in the hood you want your second family to be in, click on the options menu and select Edit Town. At the bottom-ish on the right (on the town screen) is a button with two houses in it. This is the 'switch household' button. Click and hit yes to the notices that come up.…
  • It's probably down to some kind of marketing, target audience hoo-hah. More females seem to play The Sims games than males, so I guess they assumed that women's items would be in higher demand. I agree that the choices for male sims are abysmally limited. There's probably only a couple of hair meshes from the whole lot…
  • Seconded. I feel like the 3x time on TS2 went -much- faster, and would like to see a return to that. Post Edit: D'oh, talk about redundancy, I just repeated you. ^_^ But watching the clock in TS3 compared to TS2, the time is actually slower. The minutes don't click by as quickly.

  • Okay. if you're looking at items in the exchange, when you click on a thumbnail it brigs up the bigger picture at the top, and the Add To Game button. It also bring up the title of the object at the top there. Click on the title of the object to go to the main contents page, and Save File will be linked underneath Add To…
  • Use your arrow keys, or go to game options and turn Edge Scrolling on to make it behave like TS2. Also, you can hold down the right mouse button and zip around.
  • You're welcome. Hope it works out for ya.
  • You cannot see inside of community lots such as restaurants, stadiums, shops, business etc in this game. The only lots you -can- see inside of are things like The gym, the library and the art gallery. It's simply how the game is. :(
  • Access your house stats from the main Edit Town screen by clicking on the house. A window will pop up with a button in it that looks like an arrow pointing to a sort of star/flower thing. that's your share button. Click it, and it will share it to the sims launcher. Open your sims launcher and click on Uploads. Go through…
  • IF you maybe had a torrent version of the game installed before installing this one ... >_>... Then make sure you uninstall ALL of it. The crack, the shortcuts, everything. You'll have to uninstall the legit version too, if this is the case. make sure the cracked version is completely erased from the system and the…
  • Who knows. Rofl. It's EA, they might assume we're all psychic. ^_~ Glad I could help, thanks for commenting back to let me know it worked out.
  • Go into your game options and turn "Edge Scrolling" on. This will allow it to pan around like ts2 when your cursor touches the edge of the frame.
  • If you saved the sims to the simbin correctly, they will appear in the sim bin in the CAS screen (At the bottom, the box full of disembodied heads.) P.S. To view stats, moods, opportunities, etc, click the little arrow near the bottom of the screen that points right and says something like -expand- etc. (Right of the…
  • Nope. You cannot create your own neighbourhoods. You can make community lots for the neighbourhood. (Gym, Library, Art Gallery - The ones you can actually go into) but that's about it.
  • Yes. I told you this in your other thread. You have to -completely- get rid of the torrented game from your system. You must uninstall all of it. Don't use the No CD Crack. If you don't uninstall all of it, and you continue to use the .exe that was already there, and the shortcuts to it, you're just going to get that…
