If you're trying to save money my advice would be to skip all stuff packs, wait for expansions to be on sale for have price, buy the game packs when they are released.
It's not an unreasonable guess based on past releases. Personally, I think Sims 4 will age gracefully and will have a longer lifespan of active development than the previous versions.
:o I've wanted this feature too. I had no idea it already existed. My sims are going to be a lot happier now not wearing the same old thing all the time. :)
My sims rarely go in the hot tub autonomously. I tried putting a big screen TV next to it since they seem to like TV, but they just came out and stood next to the hot tub to watch. It was sad.
For the Sims 3 people complain about crashes, long load times, general instability. That's all a sign of a game engine that was either rushed or just plain not done very well. The Sims 4 base game improved on all that. I too wish we had open worlds, but that went out with the bad Sims 3 engine. Maybe next time.
If money is tight then wait for another $20 sale. They had one at Target and I think Amazon a few weeks ago. The SimsVIP blog is pretty good about announcing sales that are around. It's not really an exciting pack, but it adds a little game play.
1. I think build mode is great and expect it to continue improve. 2. The multi-tasking behavior is a big improvement. 3. Overall if feels technically superior although I agree with many of the complaints (lack of open world, lack of personality, censorship).
A lot of his thoughts are thoughts I had when I saw the Sims 2 Ikea Pack for $20. Adjusting for inflation how much is that today? In the Sims 3, I saw they were following the trend of having a store for micro-transactions and that turned me off in a big way. In Sims 4, they got rid of that store. The stuff packs, 3 after a…
Clearly many technical decisions were made so that this game would run reasonably well on most computers. They succeeded. The recommended specs are a lot higher for GTA V.
No I generally prefer to play games without cheats. Money is really not a big challenge, but it does take some time if you want multiple rich households.
Heh. I had just downloaded the spa pack and the first think I tried was getting a massage and of course my sim farts at the end so it's not something I selected. Bad luck I guess, but just grossed me out and had to close the game.
They'll milk this franchise as long as it's profitable. They can try online (again) and open worlds (again). I think Sims 4 may be the last successful one they do though. If some serious competitors come aboard then the audience will split. Sims for the rated PG style censorship and fart jokes. The competition for adults.
If in doubt wait for a sale and pick it up. It's easily worth $30. I think you'll like it because building is fun in the sims 4, but it is more limited in some ways.
