The only thing people kept their children around for - aside from storytelling - was to help with the other children or if they took over as Matriarch. Now that we have nannies, there's not that much need to keep kids around, unless the bills are piling up.

@hedgekat1 I haven't noticed suspension of age playing normally, but I've heard its nigh impossible for female Sims to die when pregnant so its possible. Also greatly thinking of doing this or some other challenge in my spare time myself.

Thanks for the reply ceejay, after skimming the reported bugs, a similar report has been made and is being looked into. Hopefully it will be addressed in the next patch.

I must say that was an interesting thread and I like Evil_One's idea of Reapers being a new Life State or just something to do with the Reaping Skill. Cause I mean, if there wasn't some point to leveling it, why not just make it an unobtainable hidden trait like in the Sims 3?

If anyone's still having problems with this, I believe having a "Genetically Engineered Baby" in Oasis Landing from Into the Future might work and do know that the "Door of Life and Death" from Grim's Ghastly Manor in the store will definitely work.

Something else they could do could be something like "The Sims 4: Date Night" and expand on the dating system added to The Sims 3, and relationships in general. For instance, being able to more literally walk around together with your date - holding hands perhaps? I've had a few instances where the date was in a more open…

I was just skimming through a couple threads like this and had a thought. Why not make it a toggleable option when you start the game? "Do you want this feature on or off?" kind of thing. That way, people who want it have it, and people who don't...don't.
