sorry for re-opening this but I had the same problem as well, I've bought all my sims 3 games on cd, so when we finally got the internet, I wanted to try the patch, so thanks for the tips! I will try just re-installing my base game and run the 1.67 superpatch to see if that fixes it

did you ever find a solution to this? some of my households did the same thing, others installed with no problem, they seem to install ok, but when I go back to the downloads tab on the launcher, they're still there to be installed
