I just watched the Dev livestream on Steam and I'm so loving this new pack! I like that in addition to the horses and competitions and riding they are also doing cross-overs with other packs, like making nectar from Cottage Living crops and even trash!? which I assume comes from Eco Life. It's nice when they can enhance…
Well, I was hoping to use buying books directly from the bookcases as a means of setting up a sort-of bookstore. Unfortunately, the only bookcases you CAN'T buy books from are the ones on community lots. Too bad, I was going to make a point only to buy books while my sim was not at home so that it seemed like he had to go…
This thread and the mention of The 13th Floor movie reminds me of the most memorable event that happened in my Sims games. Back in the days of the Sims 2 I had a family that gave birth to twin boys. I wanted to see just how much of an actual affect taking care of ones sims had on how they functioned in the game, so I…
What is the deal with people feeling the need to pick a team: Team TS3 or Team TS4? Isn't it possible to like both games? Yes, the art took a different direction in TS4 than from TS3, but it shouldn't disqualify either game as being beautiful. I understand when someone who has played a bunch of modern-day video games goes…
Yes, I really want gift giving to make a comeback, it's one of the things I keep thinking, myself. I would love to be able to give those little My Sims collectibles as gifts!
My 3-year-old uses a step stool to reach the bathroom sink. When she wanted to reach something on a shelf in another room she would go grab the step stool from the bathroom and put it where she needed to use it. In fact, step stool was one of those first phrases she used when she was 2, so I always thought it was cute that…
I understand why you are making this post and why you do not like people contradicting what you are saying in your message to Maxis. The problem I see is that you are stating that Maxis did something wrong by making the choices they did in creating this game and if only they would listen then everyone would like the game.…
Actually, sandbox means you are not forced down a specific given story, or level, and are free to choose what objectives you choose and in which order. Objectives are what make the Sims a game, objectives have always been in Sims games and do not mean that the game is no longer sandbox. Sandbox also means you are able to…
Yeah, it is too bad that expensive microwaves still give the bad moodlet. It means all a sim can do when they are super hungry and in a hurry is eat yogurt or cereal, because juice and milk take as much time to drink as the quick meal eating benefit increases their hunger bar, and if everything microwaved gives them a bad…
Are you sure that clip didn't come from a mod? I played TS2 and I don't remember seeing the inside of a car, just the overhead view of them driving away.
I think more and more developers should put big disclaimers on the packaging that the code included is a one-time code. It is hard to purchase possible used games from Amazon/E-bay/Gamestop as games now-a-days are not consistent with merely having a CD key or a one-time activation/account code. The ToS is only available…
I know it doesn't fit into your buy mode list, but I'm really hoping they add another town to the game pretty soon. For buy mode items I would like more hobby/craft type things for skilling up (adding new skills, not just new objects that fit into existing skills) sewing, pottery, sports (soccer, basketball, skating, etc.)…
Well, they certainly wouldn't be "needed" but it would be nice to have those fixer-upper cars for mechanics to play around with. And in use, they could be done exactly as the TS2 cars worked.
It might correspond with a "Generations" type expansion, but if they did add them back in with an expansion, they would definitely patch them in to the base game. Done this way, you technically wouldn't be paying extra to have them added in a future expansion.
I've noticed if I use the smartphone to travel that the sims teleport right away, but if I click on a sim to send them to the hospital for labor, or select the house icon on a sim on a community lot the sim will walk the whole way through the neighborhood to the end of the public space. (Although I have noticed husband and…
I haven't tested it out, but I think that "cold in the middle" moodlet is because you are using a cheap microwave. I'm hoping that for expensive microwaves that moodlet doesn't show up as it limits the "quick meal" options if your sims always have bad moodlets from the microwavable foods.
And, although not an appliance, to make different styles of kitchens, I think it would be great to add one of those kitchen windows that older houses used to have, but make it so the sims can actually access the food plates through the windows.
Yes, but it would be nice if the briefcase item on the sim icon also stated the return time, so that I don't also have to go over to the career icon to check. Especially because all that pop-up message says is that your sim is at work, and the other icon says your sim is at work and lists the return time. They could have…
I'm sure it is a random sent out survey, but probably only to people who have it as they want feed back from the people who have played the game. They would not send out one to every person who has bought the game however, as surveys only gather info from a sampling of the desired group. They will probably just be computer…
The days of companies trying to tantalize customers with potential new ideas are over. The prevalence of social media in society has pretty much killed that. They will never talk about "possible" content that they are thinking of incorporating into the game because of how people run wild with the slightest comments,…
