Great idea. I have spent hours redoing EA homes myself, though I often change the roof line and get rid of second stories on commercial lots. Should this be a new build?

This does not have to be a new build; it can be an EA lot you've redone before. I don't even mind if it has been entered into a contest before, but I would like it to not be entered into any other contests running concurrently with this one.

So feel free to submit any EA lot you've already done as long as it meets all the guidelines in the rules.

    Thanks. :)

Hi. Thanks! You are free to use an EA lot you've done before, as long as it meets all the guidelines in the rules.

Ok, Here is my entry, I had this A while back on an old save game that I've been trying to rescue for the past 3 months, and finally yesterday I was able to access It so I had to take the oportunity to enter it into the Contest.

I wanted it to feel like a cozy cabin, and I was really happy with how it turned out.

Please put me down as interested. I love making over EA lots and I think I'd have enough time to do this.

    :D

And wow Lego - beautiful! I already stand no chance. LOL! But I'd like to enter for the fun of it anyway. Lego - can you share a link to your house?

    Updated to here.

lego, that is beautiful. You should have entered it in my Plus Plus +Plus contest I had a couple of months ago. It was specifically to make over that house! Amazing. Although our winner and all the entries in that were great too.

I'll have to check it with custard and get it in my game to make sure the outer walls and roof structures and placement haven't changed (to keep with the rules).

Once I've verified it's ok, I'll change the symbol by your name in the listing post on the first page.

    Thanks for entering it.

A while back I did some work on Drea's Salon and Tattoo in Twinbrook that I think I'll enter. I didn't really do anything major to the parts that were already designed:

But what I did do was work on the empty second and third floors.

I hated having two stories of empty space, so I decided to do something about it. First of all I converted the second floor into a small cafe.

And I converted the third floor into an art studio/gallery.

As long as the original build was an EA lot and you don't change the structure of the outer walls or roof, it can be any type of lot, including an apartment.

Name of Lot: Blackbeard Lake (64x64 Fishing Spot)
    Link: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=6088845
World from which it is taken: Starlight Shores

Short description of changes you made:
A great place to go fishing with every type of fish imaginable. Come and build memories, as well as tall tale fishing stories that will last for generations. Great fun for the whole family! Lodging now included. No CC/mods.

I recolored all the woodwork. I added a kitchenette and many activities in and around the main pavillion. I converted the smaller pavillion into a lodging area. I added a playground that is adult and kid friendly. The outhouses now have a shower and sink. The lake is now loaded with fish. Every fish in all the games can be found and caught here (except Supernatural). Also more trees were added to the outskirts to improve the landscaping.

(There is one pattern that I recall the star wood flooring I promise it is safe content.)

    Faith I have question!!!!

Are we allowed to add floors? I want to add a basement to this house so wanted to know if that was okay. And also is it okay if I had a little shed to the back yard?

You can add floors down since it will not change the roofline or the outer wall placements. Adding floors up would not be allowed as they would require changing both of those.

I love to add floors - both up and down - on EA lots, but I want to keep true to the outer walls and roofs for this comp.

Thanks. Oh, and yes, it would be fine to add any walls and structures to the LOT if they are not attached to the original structure.
